So in a way rights for black Americans piggybacked off of that as an excuse.
If The Suffragette movement didn't exist there's a high probability that African-Americans would still be where they were 80+ years ago today, and in a way they still kind of are.
Technically speaking, Black people are worse off today than they were 80+ years because government targeting of inner cities with drugs, economic chocking, and welfare programs has devastated African-Americans.
Blacks of the past were more resilient, united, and stronger back then but now they have a poor mindset, have lots of problems in their communities, and are very soft now.

Are you sure? If you do protocol specs that other nostr clients don't use, your client will be the only one that can view the events of your type (not that this has ever bothered major nostr clients before for some reason)

Generally speaking, it's becuase there's no privacy mechanism with a static address.
Silent Payments changes this, however it's still being fleshed out.
Not saying that direct deposit is better but for most use cases it's more convenient.
That being said also tools like Bitwage exist.
I think the biggest fear with Bitcoin is most people don't get big enough wages that would necessarily benefit from it as a wage.
I think most people prefer paying fiat bills with fiat, and buying Bitcoin with the leftover money since currently it's the more convenient, and cheaper option.

there is no wealth without privacy.
if they know you have it, it is possible to confiscate it. Otherwise you are just trusting the legal system.
People who actually NEED strong censorship resistance already use monero.
Its also used more than LN for payments anywhere both are accepted.
if "nobody cares" its because you're in an echo chamber and trust the system to protect your private property.

I now have a theory that this problem is limited only to BRAVE -- I am using Chrome now and not seeing this issue. I will follow up if it slows down again in Chrome. I think Brave's local storage might not be as fast/good.
