Abandoning coercion has the same motive as abolishing slavery, and the same counterargument.
“Who will pick the cotton?!” society cries. The machinery to do so came into being once we took the moral step of eliminating a particularly diabolical form of coercion (chattel slavery).
“Who will care for the vulnerable?!” society cries. The solutions for doing so at scale will emerge when we eliminate the coercive solution already in place. Let loose the shackles holding back the productive, and marvel at what is achieved.
It was wrong to own slaves because it was involuntary servitude—the most obvious and egregious form. It is wrong to impose involuntary tax burdens for exactly the same reason. Involuntary taxation is involuntary servitude.
The plantation is bigger today. The nominal reasons for servitude are different (socialism as opposed to private profits). But the fundamental “work for us or die” principle is the same.
If it was wrong to own slaves, then it is wrong to involuntarily tax. They’re the same action—procure work at threat of violence/death.
Like I said though, most people agree with you that visiting coercion on people is good and proper. You’re in the majority. You hold the popular opinion.

Never tried this, but i have read that soaking your feet in cornmeal water works very well for this. Look up The Dirt Doctor, i think dirtdoctor.com. He's mostly about organic gardening, but has tons of health related stuff there too. Apparently cornmeal is a fungicide, and also works for oak trees to prevent oak wilt.

ただ1859年時点で大停電したり、電信システムが壊れたりなんだりしてるらしいので、当時のシンプルなシステムでそれなら現代のはヤバそうとは思う。
逆に、電力網とかは高度な保護システムも実装されてるので、ある程度はそこが機能するかもしれない。
