I stopped using Start9 as a serious node because I mostly manage my nodes remotely. Umbrel has Tailscale VPN, which I use to access all my nodes, but Start9 only uses Tor, which works, but is slow and a pain.
This is why I don't use it in a production server.
As for your spec, I don't think Start9 is demanding on the CPU, but in my experience the more RAM the better.
8GB for any node OS is the minimum these days. I have an Umbrel home, which has 16GB, which is fine as a pure node, but I'd like to run other things on it, but I dare not with only 16GB.
A lot of people highly rate Start9, I'm not certain why. Umbrel definitely has the UI, which I'm a sucker for. I believe many rate Start9 because it is a more robust OS, built from the ground up as a node, whereas Umbrel is an app sitting on top of Linux.
I understand the difference, but personally, I think this point is moot.

It shouldn't other than Primal. Never change your relays in Primal. They will ALL be listed as both inbox and outbox relays if you do.
The other clients you mentioned all seem to respect which relays you have set for inbox and which for outbox, though I admittedly haven't checked to see how HiveTalk handles relay settings. 😉
Some clients, like Nostrudel and Jumble have relay lists that are only used within that application. Changing those should not affect your relay settings anywhere else.

Trump is getting a LOT of praise from people that typically don't praise politicians. Its not that Trump is great... its that the systems is so incredibly bad that it doesn't take much to expose it. Its more rotten than most of its critics ever dreamed and previous administrations did literally nothing to expose or fix it.
Is Trump gonna fix it? No. Is he great. No. But... make no mistake what is going on now is angering a lot of terrible people that hate you and I. They hate people that oppose their power.
Yeah, Trump and this new crew have their own issues and motives. They aren't fair. They are rigging things. This is all status quo stuff. Every admin does that stuff. Don't kid yourself. The positive up side to this is that many people have no excuse to "trust the state" anymore. If this doesn't open their minds they can't be opened.
