My take as someone who lives there: he has been super popular and wants to continue being so. With the security question resolved, he has promised to make the country less poor, and the people are getting impatient for results. Tourism is up quite a lot, but that doesn't cut it. This will never be a massive tourism destination imo. He has a lot of other plans, but they are either very long term, or just pie in the sky. He wants big investments that pay off. But that is very hard, as it turns out.

he's a pet, i had him neutered, and he likes it in here, when the door is open he sometimes goes out but mostly he's just content to sit and watch, and often if people pass by he runs upstairs to hide
i think he rates his life as pet as the kind of life he wants
he's livestock, with a lot of wits and personality, but still livestock
i would never expect a human with the capacity of greater than a 3 year old be like this, i'd seriously doubt that if he was a creature of this measure or greater, that i'd have trouble keeping him inside, as it is, i don't even have to close the door a lot of the time, or ask him to come back inside, if he even goes out

But for a RE play, I think not using debt is missing a trick

if you read nip-01 with the question in your mind "how complex is it going to be to parse these "envelopes" compared to using a common, old format like JSONRPC?"
implicit context isn't as bad as types specified in fields of dynamic typed wrappers but the code that parses it has to have the extra context of "is this a request or a response" in order to determine how to decode it
that annoyed the bejesus out of me because i shouldn't have to have this context missing from the message format
why did i write my own bespoke parser, btw?
because it's more than 3x faster than using even the best library for the task, and part of the reason is that it doesn't check for syntax violations that simply are not going to appear or have material impact on nostr JSON encoding for filter and event

The only problem with this thesis is that when you present it to someone who has even half an ear to hear it, they often say "but how will that solve [insert their favorite hyper-specific concern here; like I don't know, "farm animal abuse in Romania" or something]??"
I've had this experience countless times.
The downside of such a lofty promise is that if you can't draw a perfect line between it and a random problem they think up, then they conclude the premise must be false.
There are a lot of problems with that way of thinking, but it doesn't prevent people from doing it.
