Thanks to a fix suggested provided by Matt Corallo, I believe that this issue is now fixed and all of the Alby nodes will see that their Megalith LSP channels come back online over the next hour or so. Apologies again for the disruption, but you can remember you were around for an actual discovery of a potential problem in Lightning that had never been discovered before....

No, a Raspberry Pi is not ideal for a Bitcoin node. Not anymore. It used to be alright a few years ago, but its main constraint is RAM, and running Bitcoin requires a decent amount of it. Highly recommend 8 gigs+, especially if you are also going to run a Lightning Node and any other Bitcoin/Lightning related services along with it.

Always assume wall wart failure first. Voltage is not loaded voltage. It may read 5v on a multimeter but immediately fall to 0v if you put an incandescent bulb on it as a load.

I understand where you are coming from recarding security of a user's nsec here. I really do. I like the idea of no single internet-connected app having your full private key. I really do. I think FROST signing for Nostr is REALLY interesting. However, we need to nail the UX for this, and it needs to have near universal adoption from Nostr clients to be useful.
Let's look at this from the perspective of a new user who wants to try out Nostr for the first time, and we'll even assume that they have a kind friend who warns them that they shouldn't paste their nsec into client applications to log in. What is the current onboarding process for someone who wants to try out Nostr in a "safe" way, in case they decide they want to stick around, vs what the process would look like under your proposal?
Currently, if I was that kind friend, I would have the new user generate their keys via Amber and use Amber to sign into everything they possibly can. This means they only need to download Amber and the first client they want to use. Possibly the Zapstore to make it easier to update those apps. Total time to first post is going to vary a bit based on their questions, but in under 5 minutes I can have them up and running with a basic understanding of why they shouldn't just paste their nsec anywhere they want to log in. Sure, it's not perfectly ideal security, since their nsec is still held in-full in Amber, which is a potential point of exposure, but it's still a far better option than having them generate their nsec in a client and then just copy/paste it to another client when they want to log in somewhere else.
Now, if I am understanding your proposal, to try and do the same thing for a friend who wants to try Nostr, I am going to have to tell them. "Call me when you have a specialized piece of hardware to generate your private key and hold it offline. Then I'll come over and show you how to export key shards to a signer app and the client you want to log into." Until then, maybe just poke around on a burner-key to see if its something you are interested in. Just know you won't be keeping that key, so don't get attached to it.

I have seen the charge from an incoming call set off an electronic fuse. That being said it was staged and the end of the wires were on either side of the phone and it was the incoming call only.
Now i used these electronic fuses for fireworks so i don’t think theres much in a plane that could be that sensitive way back in the fuselage. As for the gas station Cheese you could have had a freak gas fight accident good thing someone was quick thinking lol

By airplane mode I assumed you meant Foreflight open, flight plan loaded and log recording.
I did my private w/o IPHONE/GPS, but I can’t taxis to the end of 27 at KVPZ without one now.
Plus my plane doesn’t have a Hobbs and I don’t wear a wrist watch so my time gets logged from ForeFlight or FlightAware.
Most commercial pilots run foreflight and would get lost without it.

For those of you with nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm cloud nodes with Megalith LSP channels ..... we actually discovered a heretofore undiscovered issue with the interaction between two Lightning implementations about 12 hours ago, which led to many of the channels with LSP going down .... thanks to help from nostr:npub185h9z5yxn8uc7retm0n6gkm88358lejzparxms5kmy9epr236k2qcswrdp , who suggested finally quite a simple solution everyone else had overlooked, this problem should now be behind us. If your channel with Megalith LSP is still down, please note we're bringing up channels slowly out of caution, however all Megalith LSP channels should be back up and running within the next 3 to 5 hours.
