My old employer once accidentally filed an incorrect W-2 form and sent me the corrected one after I had already filed. So, I mailed an amended return and got a notice that it was wrong a month or so after. Upon calling the IRS for clarification (which they first left me on-hold for 2 hours ), they told me my amended return and all the documents used for support were invalid because they received the corrected W-2 a couple days after I filed the amended return, so they had to throw away my amendment and required me to file another. Thing is, you can't file amendments digitally and must physically mail them, including supporting documents and the like. So now I have to go and print another fat stack of papers and mail it just to wait again and hope it's accepted, all so I can prove to them that I owe $7... 😑

It's like someone gets notariety because they invented the idea of using both legs to walk instead of hopping around on one foot. Crazy.

Whilst I like hearing of governments attempting to reduce taxes, balance deficits, and be more productive
When their is a money printer available on the back-end, I am very dubious as to the potential results
The US being more efficient, certainly slows the adoption of Bitcoin, at least in that country in particular
What I believe has always been the case remains true though:
Product-market-fit for Bitcoin is on the fringes, in countries with no financial services, and crazy inflation rates
Fascinating period unfolding no doubt

Sure, but ideally the max should be 3 (as per NIP instructions).
However, for event IDs, they could be in every single relay. So, the filter could use improvements.
Also, any speed gain is good gain since the CPU is limited and we are hitting it all the time (Amethyst uses 100% of all cores in the CPU at some points).
I am even thinking about pre-cashing string hashcodes() to save 3ns each relay check.

Been a long time since I've been my own IT department (as a startup, the server was in my basement and I was having to maintain our mail server, database servers, etc...while still writing software/analytics).
Really past that point in my life...even though I did get a Start9, so I could run my own node and setup Alby Hub.
Also not worth the effort since I have much fewer lesson hours now that I coach a couple high school teams...and they force me to be W2.
I'd rather spend that time on a tennis court, pickleball court, or gym...playtime!

The expensive coffee and all the expensive coffee making devices are all in pursuit of tasting the complex acidic fruity flavors of the source beans in a light roast. But if you like caramel, toffee, chocolate, vanilla, almond type flavors, these all come from the Maillard reaction during roasting and pretty much happen with any bean. So as long as you don't burn the roast (plenty do!) it doesn't matter which source beans you use, or which fancy equipment you use. Dark roasts in the realm of full city or vienna (not french/italian/spanish which is burnt) are "easy mode," don't require expensive beans or expensive equipment, and taste great.

People can also lose a lot of money on chain fees by oversimplified advice like this. I recommend reading about lightning, chain fees, channel partners, etc before just jumping in. There was not the same financial risk from ineptitude from the custodial alby product.
