As an aside, I have two other interesting medical hypotheses.
First, I do not believe that metabolic syndrome (defined as a cluster of 5 symptoms) is caused by blood sugar issues. The reason is that back when I was 30, doctors were certain I was about to become diabetic. 25 years later that still has not happened and my blood sugar levels are still great (hba1c around 5%). I have ALL of the OTHER metabolic syndrome features though: low HDLs, high triglycerides, large waist circumference, and hypertension. That is why they were so sure I was going diabetic. Anyhow, my theory is that obesity eventually causes pancreatic dysfunction, and that eventually causes blood sugar issues and diabetes. But the weight where this trips is highly individually variable. And that the other metabolic syndrome features are independently caused by obesity and also other things... for example, low HDL can be genetic, as can large waist circumference, as can high cholesterol. I had hypertention since I was 9 years old and thin just like every other kid, so that can be caused by something else too. So the causation path is not that the cluster of symptoms causes diabetes, but just that it is associated. Most people with that cluster of symptoms got there by overeating which leads to diabetes, but you can have those symptoms for other reasons.
My second hypothesis is that methionine restriction extends life. This happens because methionine is the start codon. All transcription is gated by it. And so if it is in short supply, all transcription slow down in equal proportion, which essentially means slower aging. The evidence for this is that vegans live longer, and vegans don't eat high methionine foods (for example: cheese, fish). It is a simple and elegant hypothesis, but I have no way to test it, and this isn't my field of expertise. Contrary evidence would be that pescetarians apparently live longer than vegans.

My thought is. I keep my existing set up in play, and then try and get Datum running with the Knots node and then connect my three bitaxes to my own block templates from my own mempool... And never find a solo block 😂

This is a major crux of the problem, affording the equipment that standardizes the process. One could even make an argument that there is emphasis on requiring these machines to already make reproducibility difficult. Then you throw into the mix the incentives against reproducing in favor for novel research (you're not going to get funding to reproduce other's work), and the bias against publishing negative results.

Очевидно, что чем больше официанты получают чаевых, тем выше их материальный стимул к работе, тем меньше необходимость предприятия поднимать им зарплату.
Клиенты оставят столько чаевых, сколько готовы, и не больше! Банк берет долю от этих денег. Чем больше доля банка в чаевых, тем больше зарплатный фонд должен быть у предприятия, чтобы оставаться конкурентными на рынке труда.
За все платит предприниматель.

For example, fasting is taking from my fat and glycogen stores 9200 kilojoules of energy to use for consumption and production, while if I had eaten that much beans today instead, I would have paid about 10,000 sats plus an additional 900 or so sats sales tax to California so they could keep stealing from and killing people and mismanaging healthcare.
This is the bare minimum if using the cheapest decently healthy food available. Using this info and other health parameters, I can calculate how to bulk and trim my body tax efficiently to reduce my support of the state longterm. Fasting makes more efficient use of protein, so I may be able to get away with saving money by eating cheap vegetarian sometimes and still gaining muscle, and reducing the sales tax I pay, all at the same time.

I might have to start using Calories or kilojoules as a secondary unit of account. I wonder what the market conversion rate is, hmmmmm...
In Texas typical power costs for hosted miners are like 7¢ per kilowatt hour which is like 0.02 sats per kilojoule if I did my math right, and I have no idea. So per day I'm taking energy from my fat and consuming about 4.184 * have kilojoules * 0.02 sats per kilojoule = about 184 sats worth of energy going by the market rate of cheap electricity.
What if there is some way to use human energy expenditures from, say, operating a stair climber, to power a bitcoin miner for a cheaper cost per unit of energy inputs than the typical market rates of electricity? Looking at the price of quality bean burrito ingredients, it looks like best case I could get a cost of like 1 sat per kilojoule for energy inputs for the human to expend on the stairstepper... nope that's not competitive unless the human was going to exercise anyway, and, after efficiency losses in getting these inputs, in the machine, in the storage of energy, and in the power supply to the miner, we have maybe an effective cost of 2 to 4 sats per kilojoule.
STILL!! This figure from 1 to 4 sats per kilojoule is the market rate of human energy inputs and outputs, which is awesome to use for accounting for the sake of things like food expenses and human powered machines.

If I’m not mistaken science by definition must be verifiable. If you can’t replicate the results in other studies then you should question that study.
It’s all compromised by big pharma sounds like paranoid conspiracy theory, the likes of which are sadly prevalent among government distrusting people.

Also consider the cost to verify lab science. Its easy to verify stuff in software. but is insanely expensive to verify a lot in some sectors of material sci/eng, biochem/biophys. Throwing up a lab independent of who is funding it is next to impossible for the avg citizen. Plus one can't control the raw materials in the same way

I think we're mainly using "mute" as a differentiation from "block" because most people consider blocking to work both directions.
1. I no longer see anything from the person I blocked.
2. The person I blocked no longer sees anything from me.
3. The person I blocked cannot contact me or reply to my posts.
The term "mute" makes it somewhat clear that it's only working one direction.
1. I no longer see anything from the person I muted.
2. The person I muted can still see anything I post publicly.
3. The person I muted can still attempt to contact me and reply to my posts and anyone else who hasn't muted them will still see it.
I agree, though. A client should not even request notes from users on my mute list. Not sure on relays, though. The relay would need to have my mute list in order to be expected to exclude npubs I have muted from the data it sends the client I am using, and not all relays I am reading from necessarily would, unless I happened to send it to them.
