Dude one thing I learned early on is to never trust someone who says how many years of experience they have. Cause the biggest morons I've ever met in the powergen industry had the biggest "years of experience" stat on their lapel.
I'm always going to look down on code that has exactly zero tests and assume it doesn't work. Cause most likely the developer doesn't even know what it actually does. Just what they hope it does.

I just learned what #40HPW is.
I do not do that. I listen to maybe 5 or 10 hours a week max because I take notes on anything of real interest to me - and I try to only listen to podcasts of real interest.
That note-taking takes time, usually a whole second listen.

just to clarify
when you "embed" a struct in another struct in golang, pointer or directly, the methods associated with the type also become accessible from the type that has the new embedding
additionally, code that accessed those same fields that now are part of the embedded struct, have no change in syntax unless there is a conflict with another field name (which basically can't happen)
so the process of popping out a subset of a struct into a new struct is absurdly simple and smooth in #golang
no other language makes this as easy

It's very cool. I'm making the occasional post there and announcing it as my way of promoting its use. I'd like to see more adoption because I think it had the potential to create more interesting experiences & connections between creators and their fans.
I know the intended audience, and no one else, can see those notes. People can interact in a quieter space. Unless it gets forced out by someone, it stays that way. Given the nature of availability being based on previous zaps, it seems like a limited chance. I mean, there is obviously no guarantee it won't spread, but if a creator is rewarding the people who financially support them, why would those supporters blow the opportunity to enjoy a more personalized experience?
The biggest limitation right now, is keeping the experience personalized from clients. It is easy to read from the relay, but clients that can send a reply to one specific relay and add the appropriate tags are few. Coracle, Jumble, and Relaytools, I think is it right now. But its getting there, so I'm ringing my little bell 😅 you should try making a post there. It's fun.

Of course no one in the 1900s could imagine that all the people put out of work would eventually be working to sustain a global electronic communication system and eventually a place switching digital network that could provide practically any service that people desired at their whim… but that’s what happened nonetheless and tractors made it possible, they didn’t “make farm workers poor.”

lo que no conozco es ningun grupo de consumo que incorpore bitcoin como forma de pago, y en parte es normal, pues la volatilidad hace que sea dificil el calculo economico para los productores.
esto en faircoop (proyecto de criptomoneda social que fracaso por multiples factores, entre ellos el fijar un precio oficial) se habia llegado a lograr y mantenerse en funcionamiento durante un par de años antes del colapso de la moneda y la comunidad. una de las claves del exito para lograr productores que aceptasen una criptomoneda volatil era garantizarles el cambio a fiat, en fairccop se hacia de forma centralizada con un precio fijado por asamblea, esto no funciona. Pero lo que si podria funcionar es tener una bolsa de personas que quieren btc a cambio de fiat y cuando algun productor necesita cambio facilitarselo mediante P2P.
Las personas encargadas de coordinar todo esto necesitan algun incentivo economico, puede ser un % sobre lo distribuido, o sobre lo cambiado, o cobrar por reparto a domicilio, una cuata de socios, etc...
dejo estas reflexiones que ojala den lugar a debate en las distintas comunidades locales de btc, e idealmente de lugar a la formacion de alguno de estos grupos de consumo bitconers

## Details
- ⏲️ Prep time: 20 min
- 🍳 Cook time: 4 hours
## Ingredients
- 1kg of chicken thighs
- 3 large onions
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1.5 dl Ketjap Medja
- 0.5 liter chicken broth
- Pepper
- Salt
- Nutmeg
## Directions
1. Cut the onions and sauté them
2. Add the chicken thighs in pieces and bake for a few minutes
3. Add the garlic powder and the brown sugar and bake for a short time
4. Add the ketjap media and the chicken broth
5. Add some salt and pepper and nutmeg and let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours
6. Make sure all the moist evaporates but make sure it doesn’t get too dry. Otherwise add some extra chicken broth
7. Bon appetit!
