Another indicator that the economy might be slowing down is corporations got rid of all this ESG, DEI, BLM, LGBTQ+ whatever acronym stuff to virtue signal about.
They're cutting advertisement budget, scraping AI investment, and focusing on profit generation.
When companies are going back to fundamentals, and desperate for cash it shows the economy is slowing down.

An ip address was the original 'npub' because in order to respond to anything you needed control over the computational resource. An npub is way better because you need to only prove by means of the nsec.
Just as the domain name system evolved out of necessity (people remember names, not numbers), the same will happen for npubs. Domain name based identifiers (NIP-05) is the frontrunner, but it could still be anything in these early days of #nostr

Just kidding, we can also have apps that automatically grab relays from friend recommendations or even recommendations by the app maintainers if nothing else is available, then use these for the user without them even knowing, and if they seem to like it keep using, but if they seem to dislike switch to other ones, all very automated and invisible and assuming the user has the intelligence of a worm, like the UX experts say we should do.
We can also do something in between, with suggestions that the user has to accept manually, or just making it easy for the user to, for example, click on a relay URL in a note from someone else and have the option to browse that relay and add it to a sidebar or topbar where they can go back there, then eventually add that relay to their own curated relay sets and recommend it to others, stuff like that. I don't have all the answer, as you may have noticed.

Each time I think about an open source project I realize a couple of things:
1. How can this source code ever turn into a revenue generating effort?
2. How can I stay motivated to work past 6 month of effort.
Both those thoughts always make me pause and really not progress.
As an example. I look at #nostr clients as an example and suspect no one would pay so embedded ads are the only possible stream of revenue.
I have looked at trading bots, but again don’t see a market that would sustain a revenue stream.
So I’ve looked at projects like coin market cap and coin gecko and while both have paid subscriptions I suspect adcents is all that drives revenue.
I am adamantly opposed to generating revenue off ads but see no other model
Without a revenue stream how to stay motivated.
