Thanks for the summary! I can definitely see total transaction count going down. We all zapped like crazy back in 2023 when the feature was novel and we were trying to see if certain custodians could handle it. That has definitely died down quite a bit.
Zaps were still a meaningful feature in 2024, but the Wallet-of-Satoshi-breaking zapathons weren't. 😂

I write on habla-dot-news first, then copy and paste it to Substack.
Substack has the lion's share of the network effects, but I get paid on nostr. I'm not sure how the paid subscriptions work on Substack because nobody has subscribed to my substack like that before.
We need a way to notify readers of new articles in nostr, perhaps a nip04 message sent to subscribers? I'm not sure yet.

- I regularly use #Amethyst, nostrudel.ninja and, jumble.social in my phone, but would love to see anything new emerging. Would likely use nos.social if they made an android app.
I actually never microblogged before nostr, because it's just not what I like to do. But I do it too keep interest as more stuff like flotilla (as a reddit not discord replacement), olas, freeflow, sheetstr, whitenoise, etc evolve
Stuff I like in a general notes/microblogging client h:
- Editing + history support is vital. There's no reason to stop people from correcting typos and stuff when the history is right there if you want to make sure the core communication is untouched. I've seen no good arguments against my viewpoint so far but always open to listening.
- I like violet/bluish (but decidedly more) purple accent color so if you can customize accent color or it already is purple it's a plus for me. Hey some of us care about stupid shit.
- I'm not libertarian or a Bitcoin fanatic so devs that are primarily into nostr's unique possibilities vs nostr as a vehicle for advertising singular political slant and Bitcoin advocacy. It's not near a deal breaker if the tech is good,, but it's nice to support neutral protocol focused open mindsets not primarily trying to help further their own chosen/inherited allegiance group that I very likely don't care about.

From my understanding, Frost provides mitigations to a compromised key by being able to refresh all of the signing keys.

However, the last set of signing keys remains valid, and those keys can still sign messages. So there is still a risk (see the documentation above for more info). So by generating a new set, the last set isn't invalidated or revoked, and therefore not really a key rotation. Interesting though.

i need some time out... new code i've written is throwing funny errors and yes i hadn't properly tested it so here i am...
simple stuff, just related to the new HTTP handling i'm writing, and the old import/export functions, the import seems to be broken
this is why i hadn't committed any new tags on the #realy repo - because this stuff is work in progress, and i see i need to do some bug hunting
the features are not done yet, either, i got very distracted reading my notifications and seeing horseshit and horseshit vendors troll armies spitting venom at their leader's enemy
