Vision loss can come from many things, but one that stands out is the lack of looking at far distances. Most people spend their days indoors, at work or at home, only focusing 50 to 100 feet ahead. Our eyes are meant to shift between near and far, but modern life limits that natural exercise.
Living near the ocean, in the mountains, or anywhere with wide-open views gives the eyes a chance to stretch - scanning miles instead of feet.
Aldous Huxley’s The Art of Seeing touches on this too, showing how simple habits can shape how we see. Maybe part of keeping our vision sharp is just looking further.

2. The nonce is to prevent session hijacking. I generate a new nonce every time I present a QR and check to see if it’s the same in the reponse.
