So for anyone who saw the note I posted a little while back about rehoming our dogs:
We've successfully found them a loving home. A couple from south of us in the US contacted us about them. They have three dogs already and a few kids in the double-digit age range. The husband plans on expanding to goats and other livestock and they have around 20 acres of land.
The girls immediately got along with the other three dogs. No fights, no growling, not even a cross look. Quinn adapted almost immediately, shaking her tail all happy and feeling at home. Arlo took longer, as we expected, but she started to bond with their daughter and her curly tail started to raise once again.
They're a lovely couple and they clearly love their dogs. Their home is made for it and they really seem to have no issue having a small army of five dogs. He even said that if he gets a large herd of goats, he may get more dogs to help watch them.
The girls are absolutely going to be well taken care of. We spent some time with them this afternoon and it went basically perfectly. We are so thrilled to have found them a loving home to care for them and love them like we have.
We're sad to see our girls go, but they plan to stay in contact so we'll get updates over time. When we come back to the area to visit we'll definitely stop in to say hello to the girls and their lovely new family.
It was a very bittersweet day, but a good one. Things worked out well.

Yes, we're also going to focus on building extensions, but for OpenDev as the first one, since we'd be using that ourselves.
If you made a generic Nostr API, then we could just expand upon that, with more implementations, like Jira and OneDev. You would have to structure it to be expandable, with a field mapping system, of some sort.

Yes, it was redeemable for gold, now it's not redeemable, but what is it? It is something, it's not air, otherwise you could take a mortgage and just walk away. What is the unit? The paper bill is not IOU.
Bank ledgers are subject to manipulation, but the number is not legally the bank's, otherwise they could not go bankrupt. What do they repay the debt with when you withdraw? What about when you send to other bank?
(The trick is that the dollar changes form, they are not the same, even though for practical reasons they look similar).

My NPUB was "on sale" for a few days but only to promote artistic profiles. No one saw anything wrong with that, although I have to admit it didn't have much success.
However I promote art profiles almost every day for free. It just seemed like a good way to support my art while promoting other people's.

MY NPUB IS NOT FOR SALE!
I have been thinking a bit about paid engagement and paid follows. Specifically Paid reposts. While this may be a viable way to get attention, it could be quite dangerous to Nostr’s health and the view people have on it.
Another thing to consider is if you are reposting everything under the sun for money without purpose, you are essentially exposing your follows to spam and possible harm if what you are promoting harms them, it also makes you look desperate too and often will make people not interact with you.
Believe me I know, I used to be the king of paid engagement as many of you know.
But also I have come to the conclusion that Nostr is something special, and is worth being protected from this type of behavior.
Which is why I am now taking the pledge of “MY NPUB IS NOT FOR SALE” meaning I pledge not to engage in fake engagement or promote fake engagement, meaning reposts, likes, or follows for money.
I have no problem with advertising on Nostr, in fact I think there are many great ways to do so in a less invasive manner.

I fortunately have a local dr who presribes it anytime for me. The capsules are filled fresh at a local pharmacy. I take a basic regime twice a year. I travel, eat a lot of things, have hands in the dirt and am around animals.
As a farmer I have gone far down the path of using beneficial fungi/compost teas etc for soil fertility. Finding that Ivermectin was derived from beneficial soil fungi made complete sense to me.
