the best library available currently for Go is https://fyne.io which by the way that website is a fyne app, yes, it can build web apps, though currently they haven't finished the local storage part and it's still buggy in places, like i found a glitch in their multi-line text input widget that causes a panic related to the undo function.
it has come a long way since i first tried it some years ago but it's not ready yet for really full blown GUI apps, but you can do simpler stuff with it, i'd say aside from video playback you can build a nostr kind 1 client with it, for example, and deploy it on all mobile, desktop and web platforms with one codebase.
another one that is nice is cogent core but it's way less advanced in completing the necessary feature set, and a lot less stable.

i have now completed drafting the indexing part of the full text reverse index, which assembles lists of the appearance of a given word, extracted using a unicode tokenizer, from every event in the database, as a list of the database serials in the value field of a key that includes the name and a counter that tells how many references a given word has, without having to decode the whole list of event serials in the database.
need to integrate it into the indexing process yet as well, probably need to separate the part of the process that generates the relative frequency table out so it is just done on a ticker every 10 minutes or so as this data doesn't need to be perfectly precise, as each newly added event will take hardly any time to update the reverse index, it doesn't really make sense to trigger the recalculation of the relative frequencies so often, as new events won't alter the historical proportions of occurrance by very much and not greatly affect the relevance sorting.

I am certainly too stupid to see how all the hoop-jumping to proclaim the "rightly proper catholic church" is MY church, when it certainly ISN'T.
Also, I am definitely NOT a protestant anymore, even if I was raised mostly baptist with a bunch of Lutheran thrown in. NONE of these denominations are at all correct, right, or proper, ESPECIALLY "The Catholic Church." Yes, I am picking on catholics for being so dang obstinate about one form of human authority which was NOT established by any explicit Word from God. It was a political move to CONTROL the faithful. This has all the hallmarks of the same divide and conquer tactics employed by "The Enemy" (in quotes as that is itself a complicated topic that nearly no one in Christendom these days is capable of bothering to understand, sadly) to subvert the natural power of God's people.
So, as a non-denominational, anti-Catholic Christian, I REJECT ALL HUMAN AUTHORITY OVER ME, unless they are themselves a humble brother or sister in Christ who bears the fruit of the spirit plainly visible in their life. This excludes nearly everyone these days, which is truly sad. I will not bend a knee to politicians, inside the church or without.
Your lame attempts to shame Protestants for not understanding the wisdom of The Catholics is, quite frankly, pathetic. I don't appreciate being lumped in that way, as I hold beliefs that are, these days, considered heretical, even if they are very rooted in The Bible, which I will hold as a higher authority on what is and what should be and what shall be than any other human.

can confirm, and is why i'm still loyal to steam. i mostly prefer games that have actual native implementations, tomb raider reboot, the long dark, kingdom games, dying light 1, metro redux games and exodus, half life games, portal, all of these have native builds.
you only have to look at the subtle details of the half life and portal games to see that there is a culture of hate towards microsoft and apple in Valve, the constant in-jokes about them like the endless blue screens on computers in half life, and the corporate bureaucracy and lunacy of the scientists, and the sickly sweet, polished style of the portal testing lab and the psychotic behaviour of the AI. these are all references to microsoft and apple.
i also can play all of the Stalker games with proton perfectly, they run smoother than they ever did before. i also have tried a few odd other AAA titles such as CoD:MW2 which also run perfectly under proton. steam's deck is also linux native and i have a steam controller which works perfectly on linux (can even use it as a mouse and keyboard)
