As with every other category of digital technology, the challenge before those building on Bitcoin is whether or not to be an enabler of extralegal violation of individual liberties. Obvious in ways, but approaching existential importance, nevertheless.
Why?
The โand now we add AIโ trend is hyper-accelerating the direction of established and emerging payments players in the direction of omniscient surveillance. See my previous note on Stripe.

Thatโs why I try to stay away from GAS as much as possible. My main synths are the rytm and the four. Still learning but when I listen to what I made with them at first vs now, thereโs a clear improvement. I sequence the td-3 through the other two so still only need to learn the main too. Mastering the gear is key. It can get way more creative. Watched some Aphex twin like jam on YT yesterday with the rytm. The guy was only using 3 tracks. Much more studying to do

I'm excited to share this because I went back to doing the photography dynamic where I approach strangers and ask them if I can take them some photos. This time I went to the park and was able to do the dynamic with a couple of people.

In this note I'm going to share the photos I took of two girls who were together. Both agreed to participate in the dynamic and these were the photos we took.

I am not so sure our reason is "our most holy of faculties" but I fully agree that any god that says we shouldn't employ it, or any natural or supernatural faculty, would indeed be false.
The flip side, of course, being that we should never make a god of our reason. I like to think that I, like many here, have an unusual gift of reason, but as good as it is, it is still very poor. When operating at the edges of knowledge, I am far more likely to be incorrect than correct. In part for illogical steps that I miss for failing to make proper connections in what I already know and in part for the truths that I simply do not yet know and cannot, therefore, take into account.
It is thus only rational that I submit my will to God and trust that in time my questioning, probing, and relentless reasoning will catch up to what He reveals to faith.
