Na minha modesta opinião o Mastodon é o que mais se aproxima de um projeto descentralizado viável. Bluesky enquanto tiver uma empresa por trás é meio complicado, prefiro pessoas, podendo ser vc mesmo! Eu por exemplo rodo minha própria instância. É um nível de centralização mínimo, comparável aos relays rodados por terceiros ou a hospedar um próprio site.

Yeah, that's why most people that have to get fancy with math use LaTeX and render the math formulas properly, embedding the resulting image.

This is a start of a BIG trend. As more and more people get their information from LLMs and "summaries" at the top of search pages instead of articles written by people (no profit or point in making informational sites if no one clicks on the links to go there anymore), the information becomes more and more controlled by the few corporations who own the LLMs. Once it is completely in their hands, they now have the power to skew the information to push whatever agenda they want.
Also, no one is talking about how internet content providers are going to intentionally switch from writing for human audience to writing for LLMs. The articles on the internet will still be their, bur their main purpose will be to provide training data for LLMs in order to get the LLMs to push their message. Want an LLM to mention or suggest your brand when a user asks about a specific product or problem? Mass-create large quantities of LLM readable website text so that when the LLMs scrape the web for training data, they get trained to promote your product.
Meanwhile, the paranoid creators of human-centered content that may have more impartial and truthful data get paranoid and do their best to HIDE their content from LLMs behind "prove you are not a bot" cloudflare walls, because, "Oez noez!!! LLM might get trained on my article amd that'd be terrible, because how dare it!! Stop it immediately!!!"

Saying you are offended by something because of “it’s history” is basically saying you don’t actually have a reason to be offended but you decided to make one up.
Think about it; if someone calls me a piece of shit, I’m not offended because of the history of the word shit, I’m offended because of what the person *explicitly means* by their statement in this current interaction.
However if someone beside me said, “can you believe this shit?” in a friendly, joking manner about a ridiculous event, but then I get horribly offended because of some distant history where speaking about shit during casual conversation with someone was an insult that they were of lower status and didn’t deserve to be treated with dignity… well then I’m just being a moron. I actively hunted for some reason to be offended by something, by dragging the context of hypothetical conversations of which I played no part, with people I have never interacted with and don’t know, from hundreds of years in the past, and then arbitrarily placed that meaning into my current conversation, and then got pissed at my friend who in no way was using it to indicate I was of lower class then he. To the contrary, he has absolutely no clue what I’m talking about and now has no interest in telling me about the funny event that took place, and possibly not being my friend either.
