I just had a great call with the Acting President of South Korea. We are likewise dealing with many other countries, all of whom want to make a deal with the United States. Like with South Korea, we are bringing up other subjects that are not covered by Trade and Tariffs, and getting them negotiated also. “ONE STOP SHOPPING” is a beautiful and efficient process!!! China also wants to make a deal, badly, but they don’t know how to get it started. We are waiting for their call. It will happen! GOD BLESS THE USA.

Zelensky: 'Chinese militairen gevangengenomen in Oekraïne'
Het Oekraïense leger heeft twee Chinese militairen gevangengenomen in de regio Donetsk in het oosten van Oekraïne. Dat schrijft de Oekraïense president Zelensky op Telegram. Hij zegt zich te baseren op de documenten die de militairen bij zich droegen.
Zelensky deelt ook een video waarop een man herkenbaar in beeld is die met geboeide handen onder meer gevechtshandelingen uitbeeldt. De man spreekt daarbij enkele woorden Mandarijn.
Volgens Zelensky beschikt Oekraïne over informatie waaruit blijkt dat er aanzienlijk meer Chinese burgers vechten aan Russische zijde. Dat wordt momenteel verder onderzocht volgens de Oekraïense president. Hij heeft zijn minister van Buitenlandse Zaken opgedragen om contact op te nemen met Peking.
'Rusland wil geen einde aan oorlog'
Ook roept Zelensky bondgenoten zoals de VS en Europa "en iedereen in de wereld die vrede wil" op om te reageren op de Chinese aanwezigheid op Oekraïens grondgebied. "Hier moet absoluut op gereageerd worden."
Dat Rusland direct of indirect China heeft betrokken bij de oorlog is volgens Zelensky "een duidelijk signaal" dat Poetin de oorlog niet wil beëindigen.
China en Rusland hebben nog niet gereageerd op de uitspraken van Zelensky.
