Why do you think “NFTs” became such a talking point in the music/entertainment industries, yet Bitcoin predominately remains absent from the conversation?
My theory is that folks are ready to embrace new ideas, yet to appreciate Bitcoin fundamentals requires a basic technical understanding of computer science and economics - inherently unsexy for most. Whereas, “crypto” excels in the marketing of false promises.
I think it’s important to learn from these distinctions in order to onboard folks and meet them where they’re at.

O número de matrículas em tempo integral na rede pública do Rio Grande do Norte aumentou 5,4% nos últimos dois anos, passando de 7,9% em 2022 para 13,3% em 2024. Os dados são do Censo Escolar 2024, divulgado pelo Ministério da Educação (MEC) e o Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep).
O levantamento aponta que o acesso à educação integral foi ampliado em todas as etapas do ensino no estado desde 2022.

O percentual de matrículas em jornada ampliada nas creches do Rio Grande do Norte subiu de 5,5% para 10% entre 2022 e 2024.
A pré-escola registrou o maior salto, com o número de matrículas em tempo integral passando de 1,9% para 6,3% no mesmo período.
Nos anos iniciais do ensino fundamental (1º ao 5º), o percentual passou de 7,4% em 2022 para 14,3% em 2024. Nos anos finais do ensino fundamental (6º ao 9º), o avanço foi de 7,2% para 12,5% no mesmo período.
O número de matrículas em tempo integral no ensino médio subiu de 14% para 18,3% entre 2022 e 2024.
O resultado é atribuído a políticas como a Escola em Tempo Integral e à colaboração entre o Governo Federal, estados e municípios.

Apesar do avanço nos últimos dois anos, o Rio Grande do Norte ainda ocupa o último posto entre os nove estados do Nordeste (veja números abaixo).

Story Time!
After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in 2000 at the age of 20, there was a recruitment to join the FBI. They were specifically looking for recent graduates who majored in math, cryptography, and other specialized STEM fields. It was a special program and it was to initially last two years. I reached out to the recruiter and he was like apply!
At the time, I checked two DEI boxes even though DEI wasn’t an outright spoken thing back then. I was a black, female with a Math degree and graduated Cum Laude. I was 20 years old. And I was super interested in Cryptography (Encryption/Decryption). I’m such a nerd to have memorized Morse Code as a kid.
He contacted me a couple times but I never applied because of the potential locations. I believe there were six locations. One location was Alaska and he couldn’t guarantee where I would be placed. There were no locations in Florida. If I recall correctly, I think the southernmost location was somewhere in Texas. As a Floridian born and raised, I…do…not…like…cold…weather!! My hair hates cold weather. My skin hates cold weather. Any temperature below 72 degrees Fahrenheit starts to annoy me. I become miserable. Seriously.
Nonetheless, I didn’t want to take a chance to apply and be placed in Alaska for two years. 🥴😅
With that said, I’ve always wondered where I would be today if I actually applied back then. 💭💭💭
