韩国还有大约三周迎来新一届总统选举，在日益紧张的政治氛围中，7名总统候选人的人身安全问题受到高度关注。韩国警方14日说，为防止候选人遭遇安全威胁，已配备多套反狙击探测设备，并计划加大安保力度。韩国第21届总统选举投票定于6月3日举行，5月29日至30日为提前投票日，竞选宣传活动已于5月12日正式启动。连日来，7名候选人前往各地举行拉票活动，警方已遴选180人承担选举安保职责，较3年前的上一届选举增加二三十人，还计划进一步扩大安保队伍。
