Hi Matthew, to answer your question:
(Assuming core has not been corrupted), these are a few possible motivations of what core might be thinking:
1) “changing things at consensus level to stop spammers is a pain in the ass for several reasons (reaching consensus, code maintenance), so let’s first try this method and let’s see if it works”
2) “the best defence is to be as open as possible: if we try to stop spams with filters or at consensus level, they’ll always find a way in eventually. Let’s instead open it up completely and hopefully the market will sort it out for good”__(personally I wouldn’t mind this approach, just afraid that perhaps btc is still in the nurturing phase and still needs some “monetary focus” protection before being strong enough to be open up completely ?)
3) “we have a mining centralization problem, since we don’t want to stop spams at consensus level (see point #1 above) this is the best we can do to prevent further centralization at the moment
4) btc is fundamentally based on game theory, let’s actually let it play out and see if the players want more a “money database” or a “spam database”
FYI, if it was for me I’d change things at consensus level cause I’m a “monetary maxis”, but I am also not adverse to other use cases as long as they don’t greatly impact/prevent the monetary aspect of btc

Ich verstehe das Problem nicht. Rechts gehört entgegen den Gefühlen von den meisten Grünsozialisten zum legitimen politischen Meinungsbild. Sogar radikale Positionen sind laut der Staatssicherheit kein Problem im demokratischen Diskurs.
Und wenn man sich anschaut, dass der Staat Linksradikale Positionen sogar umgesetzt hat (Gendergaga als radikale Lösung eines gar nicht vorhandenen Problems, Zerstöring von Atomkraftwerken und deutscher Ingeneurskunst als radikale Lösung eines Problems,dass gar nicht existiert), dann muss man schoncam krasser selektiver Wahrnehmung leiden um sich zu fragen wie einr gemäßigtere Personcin eine Position gekommen ist.
Wie sie in die Position kam? Es wird jetzt wahrscheinlich deine Gefühle verletzen, aber sie kam in die Position durch demokratischen Diskurs.
Und wer egal welche Seite des erlaubten Spektrums der Demokratie überhaupt in Frage stellt, der zeigt, dass er hochgradig undemokratisch ist, da er nur eine Seite des demokratischen Diskurses als legitim ansieht.
Zum Thema Rechtsradikalität hier ein Auszug der bpb
"Das Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz hat die Abgrenzung zwischen (Rechts-)Radikalismus und (Rechts-)Extremismus klar definiert:
"Als extremistisch werden die Bestrebungen bezeichnet, die gegen den Kernbestand unserer Verfassung – die freiheitliche demokratische Grundordnung – gerichtet sind. Über den Begriff des Extremismus besteht oft Unklarheit. Zu Unrecht wird er häufig mit Radikalismus gleichgesetzt. So sind z.B. Hier hat sich von amtlicher Seite eine Begriffsumdeutung durchgesetzt. In den ersten Jahrzehnten der Bundesrepublik wurden nämlich verfassungsfeindliche Bestrebungen von rechts als ''rechtsradikal'' deklariert. Seit Beginn der 1970er Jahre werden rechtsgerichtete Demokratiefeinde offiziell nun als Rechtsextremisten bezeichnet."

Being grateful when being sustainable is good. But driving up to a whale in a motor boat, spearing it with a spear, and then shooting it with a 50 cal, or netting a whole river of salmon is either wrong or not. Being grateful and performing a ritual afterwords does not undo that.
I didn’t say anything about being better now. I am saying that being less technologically advanced means they were more limited in thier ability to do harm. They did “exploit”. Just not as effectively. That is what technology enables. They didn’t have the technology to do the wrongs that we have today.
Native Americans are just as susceptible to moral failure as anyone else.

So you’re telling me that when a family is bombed in their home, the solution is to leave?
When a people, rooted in their land for generations, are slaughtered — the answer is relocation?
You call that peace — but it’s surrender.
You call that humanity — but it’s erasure.
What you’re really saying is:
Don’t resist the bully. Don’t protect your roots. Just disappear quietly.
That’s exactly what’s wrong with this world.
Because this logic doesn’t stop at Gaza.
It spreads — to Sudan, to Ukraine, to anywhere the next empire points and says, “This is ours.”
And what then? Tell them all to pack up like it’s a job application?
This isn’t about geography.
It’s about dignity.
No one should be forced to flee under drones and missiles to make room for invaders rewriting history with blood.
Gaza isn’t some abandoned zone waiting for “better tenants.”
It’s home. It’s memory. It’s blood, and birth, and breath.
And the people of Gaza are not disposable.
Most Israelis came from elsewhere — Eastern Europe, America, Russia.
They renamed themselves.
They renamed the land.
And now they erase the people.
Don’t talk to me about relocation.
Talk to me about justice.
Talk to me about ending genocide.
Talk to me about stopping the lie — that this is anything but ethnic cleansing dressed up in fake history and false morality.
And here’s the biggest lie of all —
That war ends when Palestinians leave Gaza.
No.
Globally — that’s not how war ends.
War ends when we stop the bullies.
When we dismantle the tyrants.
When we take power back from the empires that burn babies alive and call it “defense.”
War doesn’t end when the oppressed escape.
It ends when the oppressor is stopped.
This system teaches compliance.
To be polite.
To think that leaving = peace.
But peace without justice is just silence under occupation.
War ends when humanity says no.
No to every massacre.
No to every land grab.
No to every regime that treats human lives like targets on a map.
That’s when war ends.
Not before.

Not good. I'm heading up to the hospital shortly to visit her. My father brought her in last night. She has congestive heart failure and is filled with fluid, low oxygen levels and breathing issues. Hopefully they can help her out.
