That's a false dichotomy on their part. We have to address the actual roots of the problem at some point. Obesity isn't the only risk causing factor associated with poor diet and lifestyle either. It's just the most visible from the outside. Drugs won't necessarily fix those issues either. It's all duct tape and I suspect there will be long term effects we can't imagine today. It takes generations to see some outcomes, and by then it could be a much larger crisis. The same is true of drug use in general.
I only support drugs for otherwise hopeless cases. With the understanding that it's just a bandage to get you to your casket a little more comfortably or slowly. But to each their own. I'd never prevent patients and physicians doing what they think is best for them. I just don't want them. I'm choosing a more natural path.

That's a lot. Congrats :). I have no idea how many notes I wrote. Primal says 543. My home relay uses HyperLogLog for counting so not necessarily 100% accurate, plus I'm not sure if it really has imported all of my notes. So, lets say that is over 500 and way less than you :).

Funny story and a beacon to the nostr/bitcoin tribe 🙏 :
As some of you may know, I run an AI team at a large fiat health-tech company. The job has been sucking out my soul for the past few years, but I persisted because the paycheck was very comfortable and helped me keep the lights on at home. It's been brutal working 10-12 hour days under high stress, hardly being around for my teenage son's final years of childhood, and then trying to make time for my passion projects in bitcoin, nostr, and AI.
Last week, I had enough and finally did what I had been stopping myself from doing for over a year. I asked my SVP to lay me off. He laughed and said that's going to be really tough because I run a high visibilty team and the optics would be terrible if I was laid off. 😂
I pressed him some more and told him there was no way I could continue for much longer and he finally demurred and agreed to "see what he can do" 🤷♂️
I'm going to take him at his word and assume the sweet axe will fall by the end of June, plus about two months of severance. That's about as much runway I have to start making a dent with all the projects I want to dedicate my time to:

- Casa Nostra: an umbrella for all my creative projects

まだ分散型がなぜいいのかを啓蒙していく段階だなあ
大手の寡占のサービスのメタクソ化が進んでどんどんUXが悪くなってるからその辺が一般的に知れ渡る必要ある
なので今年のノスアジではまだ分散型を前面に出しても誰も理解してくれないので出さない方がいいと思ってる
昨日の技術書典で売り子してその辺説明してもピンと来てる人ほぼいなかった。
ギルドのやつは楽しさベースでクエストシステムを作りたいんだよね
普通の人は逆にデータ消せないとか最初に気にしないから楽しそうであれば訴求できると思ってるよ
でもNostrはビットコインみたいにマイニングしたら儲かるというインセンティブもないから、リレーのデータの永続性もあやしいんだよなあ

普通に生活してたら、実は必要ない事柄なのかもしれない。日本だと特にそうだよね。ビットコインが流行らないのもそれが理由だと思う

When I was a brainwashed little kid, I got mad at my dad for the way he treated a man asking him for money. We were going to have dinner at Olive Garden and this guy was approaching everyone in the parking lot asking for money. My dad is a very hard working man that supported our entire family for everything. This beggar looked fairly young, maybe early 40s. He was younger than my father for sure. He also didn’t have any apparent physical limitations. My dad told him to work and make his own money. The man got upset and acted like he couldn’t find a job. My dad told him you can find a job if you really want one. The man responded saying then give me a job as if it’s my dad’s responsibility. My dad just said he works at Jack in the box and walked away. My dad didn’t actually work there but he did in the past.
The guy looked pretty upset and it wasn’t until I became older that I understood this interaction. Maybe some of you will think my dad is an asshole like I used to. And my dad is generally an asshole, I get it from him after all 😂 But what I realized is that if more people behaved this way toward able bodied men begging for money, they wouldn’t keep begging. They would actually try to find a real solution to their problems. My dad has never done that with women or elderly and especially when he sees them with children. If you see a capable and young grown adult man begging for money, you shouldn’t give him any. This welfare and entitlement mentality is not healthy for anyone in society. Now we live in a society where a lot more people are begging for free shit and handouts. It’s sad and they still attack toxic masculinity. Things are going to keep getting worse.

Good question. The best thing would be selling off your RE while prices are high, wait for the crash and a year after that snatch up a distressed property cheap, after which you're set up for two decades of automatic appreciation.
You'll need to live in a mobile home in the mean time of course...

What China does is not secret, but Wikipedia dares not speak the words.
Chinese marines and warships occupy a good chunk of the Philippines' EEZ and minor islets.
Right now.
These days, they fire warning shots at Filipino fishermen who come too close to the stolen territory, instead of just killing them without warning. That's an improvement. Maybe the current Chinese officers trained in Russia :D
