2025-01-17 13:35:59Likes or reactions are inclusive. People use them and I don’t think they are pure vanity metrics. There is value to reactions behind a simple like. Even a like has some value as a read receipt. We could have a client without reactions - and I’m sure we’ll have many. But, at this point we don’t give every user a wallet the moment they create a key - we could - but we don’t. People are working on this. I’m mostly certain that if we remove reactions it won’t go over well. We already give people options to go #onlyzaps. Soon I’m sure we’ll have dedicated clients too. I think zaps are awesome, but I don’t think the current state of things is sufficient for them to totally displace reactions. Not saying we won’t get to a place where they will, but we’re not there yet.
