I observed how current socialist welfare state is not working and that could blur my vision.
Just too many would hold up their hand and ever expect more.
Many are not helped in that way and I would even say: does more harm than good.
And than I mean the receivers, I don't even talk about those paying.
I saw a story of a guy drilling waterholes in Africa, and that was an inspiring story that resonated.

Yet despite this crushing defeat, the Left’s social and institutional sway has never been greater. The electoral defeat of Corbynism in 2019 was immediately followed by “Peak Woke” into the 2020s. Once obscure leftist doctrines like critical race theory and gender deconstructivism were now everywhere and had become, to borrow from leftist parlance, the hegemonic ideology. Everyone was forced to become aware of “white privilege” as various arms of the state (which was then run by a Conservative government) lined up to declare themselves “institutionally racist”. Statues were overthrown, buildings and monuments defaced and renamed, and long-dead national heroes dethroned for the crime of having had views that did not match present-day sensibilities. Most sinisterly, those accused of having politically incorrect ideas found themselves hounded out of their jobs for wrongthink.
What occurred was nothing short of a social revolution and a complete reorientation of social mores by the Left. Yet it was a revolution the Left could never truly own, for it was done under a government nominally hostile to their interests, and carried out in large part by their supposed enemies: global corporations. A movement that stood for the abolition of billionaires and taking the fight to global capital suddenly found their social ideas enforced by the likes of Amazon, Nike, and Bank of America, where HR harridans would lecture the Gordon Gekkos of our time about the importance of “checking your privilege” and “being a good ally”.
For instead of being the panacea it was promised to be, immigration has stagnated wages, accelerated housing cost growth, worsened pressure on services, and coarsened public life. The multicultural dream of interesting cuisines and enriching cultural exchange has materialised as endless Turkish barbers and town centres full of foreign men who can but mutter a few words of English, each sporting the garish colours of their food courier employer. The Boriswave has not created a Britain of quaint European bakeries, as one of the Left’s most prominent geriatric millennials would have us believe, but a bizarre and alienating social landscape that seems certain to make Britain far poorer.

Um homem de 36 anos é investigado por supostamente matar um gato no Setor de Mansões de Sobradinho II, no Distrito Federal. Segundo a Polícia Civil, ele usou uma arma de airsoft, um tipo de pistola de ar comprimido, para atirar no animal.

Imagens de câmeras de segurança mostram o momento em que o gato, chamado Gaspar, saiu da casa do suspeito após ser atingido. Ele se arrastou pela rua, parou no meio da pista e perdeu as forças. Um motorista que passava pelo local chegou a desviar para não atropelá-lo (veja vídeo acima).
O crime aconteceu no dia 4 de janeiro, por volta das 20h. Nesta terça-feira (25), policiais cumpriram um mandado de busca e apreensão na casa do suspeito.
Os investigadores informaram que encontraram itens que indicam uso de arma de airsoft. Além disso, os agentes também acharam uma munição semelhante ao projétil encontrado no corpo de Gaspar (veja foto abaixo).

Taliban. The word is synonymous with religious fundamentalism — vividly clear since the militants swept back into Kabul in August 2021. Amid public executions and gender apartheid, there has been an intensifying war on free speech. Since the Taliban returned to power, media have been censored and radio stations in particular forced off the air. Yet, curiously, one foreign broadcaster endures: the BBC.
On 1 December 2022, the Taliban issued a decree closing down the two local stations run by the BBC’s rivals: Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. According to a Taliban spokesman, they were being silenced for their “non-compliance with journalistic principles and one-sided broadcasts”. Remarkably, though, the militants are happy to indulge their British counterpart, which broadcasts from Afghanistan in Dari and Pashto, while also hosting local variants of the BBC news website.
But while the Corporation clearly enjoys its unusual role, is editorial independence really maintained? For as UnHerd has discovered, BBC funds frequently end up Taliban coffers, channelled via organisations led by extremists at the very heart of government. More worrying still, these relationships seemingly shape the Corporations coverage in Afghanistan.
Perhaps it’s no coincidence that just two weeks before the Corporation’s rivals were banned, its South Asia bureau chief, Jacky Martens, met with Sirajuddin Haqqani: the Taliban’s deputy leader and Afghanistan’s interior minister. The notorious jihadi, proscribed on both sides of the Atlantic for terrorism, clearly enjoyed his encounter with Martens. According to a statement from Haqqani’s ministry, the BBC was “an important media outlet at the international level” and could rely on the Taliban’s “cooperation”. While others had been hostile when reporting the country’s “internal” issues, the BBC was “impartial”.

Entretanto, a luta pela imposição do seu sistema sobre um sistema anterior, é uma luta revolucionária, e tem a mesma envergadura moral de uma revolução comunista. Não há meio termo aqui.
