แถมปริมาณโอเมกา 6 ยังสูงจนเบียดโอเมกา 3 ตกเวที แล้วความสมดุลของกรดไขมันทั้งสองสายนี้ คือหัวใจสำคัญของการควบคุม การอักเสบ (inflammation) โอเมกา 3 = ดับไฟ โอเมกา 6 = จุดไฟ แต่น้ำมันถั่วเหลืองใส่ชุดนักผจญเพลิงมา แต่ดันถือไฟแช็คอะ

โอเมกา 6 + ความร้อน = สารพิษในครัว เมื่อเอาน้ำมันถั่วเหลืองไปเจอไฟสูง ๆ จากการผัดหรือทอด จะเกิด lipid peroxidation – ปฏิกิริยาออกซิเดชันที่เปลี่ยนไขมันดี ๆ ให้กลายเป็น สารอนุมูลอิสระสุดร้าย สารเหล่านี้สามารถไปทำลายเยื่อหุ้มเซลล์ ทำให้เกิดการอักเสบในระดับเซลล์เรื้อรัง ไม่ทันรู้ตัว ก็มีอาการปวดเมื่อย ตับอักเสบ ไขมันเกาะตับ หรือแม้กระทั่งภูมิคุ้มกันล้มเหลวแบบไม่ได้เชิญหมอดูมาก่อน

ปริมาณ PUFA (polyunsaturated fatty acids) สูงถึงกว่า 50-60% ซึ่งในสภาพของธรรมชาติ PUFA ไม่ได้ร้าย… แต่เมื่อมันถูกนำไปเจอไฟแรงๆ เช่น ทอด ผัด หรือแม้แต่ผ่านกระบวนการ refine ที่อุณหภูมิสูง มันจะกลายเป็น ไขมันไม่เสถียร ที่เหมือนคนใจบาง เจออะไรแรงๆ ไม่ได้เลย เพราะจะเกิดสาร lipid peroxidation products ที่ทำลายเซลล์ ตับ หลอดเลือด และอวัยวะที่คุณรักอย่างไม่รู้ตัว

ถั่วเหลืองยุคนี้... ไม่เหมือนเมื่อก่อน ถ้าถั่วเหลืองเมื่อก่อน อาจจะเป็นคุณป้าผู้รักสุขภาพ ถั่วเหลืองยุค GMO ก็อาจเป็น influencer สายปลอมที่แต่งหน้าหนักด้วย glyphosate น้ำมันถั่วเหลืองในตลาดส่วนใหญ่สกัดจากถั่วเหลือง GMO ผ่านการใช้ตัวทำละลายอย่าง เฮกเซน (hexane) ซึ่งแม้จะมีประสิทธิภาพในการรีดน้ำมันจากวัตถุดิบอย่างยอดเยี่ยม แต่ก็มีข่าววิจัยมากมายที่เริ่มตั้งคำถามว่า เฮกเซนตกค้างหรือไม่ และถ้าตกค้าง จะมีผลต่อระบบประสาทหรือไม่? และกระบวนการทำให้ใสที่ต้องใช้ ความร้อนและเคมีอีกหลายขั้น ซึ่งแน่นอนว่า... ไขมันที่ร่างกายเราควรได้รับ ควรเป็นไขมันที่เรียบง่าย ดิบ ๆ ดั้งเดิม ไม่ใช่ไขมันที่ถูก “ฟอกสี เติมกลิ่น กรองเคมี” จนแทบไม่เหลือความเป็น real food

แต่น้ำมันถั่วเหลืองก็มีข้อดีนะ น้ำมันถั่วเหลืองที่ไม่ได้ refine จนหมดเกลี้ยง ถ้าไม่ได้ปรุงด้วยความร้อนจะยังคงวิตามินอีไว้พอสมควร ซึ่งเป็นสารต้านอนุมูลอิสระที่ดีต่อผิวพรรณและช่วยลดการเกิด oxidative stress ได้ นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นที่นิยมเพราะมีราคาถูก สะดวก หาง่าย และรสชาติไม่กลบวัตถุดิบ จึงเป็นที่นิยมในอุตสาหกรรมอาหารและเบเกอรี่ เช่น ขนมปัง มายองเนส หรือสินค้าจำพวกแปรรูปต่างๆ

นั่นหมายความว่า เป็นอีกหนึ่งน้ำมันที่เหมาะกับการนำไปทำ ultra processed food เชียวครับ ได้ต้นทุนที่สะดวกและหาง่ายด้วย เป็นน้ำมันหลักในการทำ มายองเนส เลยครับ

ในวันที่โลกกำลังสับสนระหว่างคำว่า “ยั่งยืน” กับ “ควบคุมได้” มีบริษัทหนึ่งที่กำลังสร้างฝันแบบใหม่ให้กับอาหารที่เรากินกันทุกวัน นั่นคือ Perfect Day บริษัทเทคโนโลยีชีวภาพจากสหรัฐฯ ที่ไม่ได้ขายนม แต่มาขายอนาคตว่า “คุณไม่ต้องเลี้ยงวัวอีกต่อไป แต่ยังได้นมที่เหมือนเดิมเป๊ะ” โดยใช้กระบวนการที่เรียกว่า Precision Fermentation นั่นเอง

'First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly…'

I. INTRODUCTION

I acknowledge the irony of all this. I mean, here is a judgy article about problems in the church that references Jesus' own words about not judging. Yes, but even though I am writing to the global, Christian church I include myself in whatever I discuss here. That is why I say that the log is in "our" eye. And really, since we are discussing the body of Christ, I am referring to the eye of Jesus himself. Who am I to say this? I am a member of his body, or so I identify. And as appalling as it is to say, there is a log in the eye of this body. There is even a beam in the eye of Christ. Genuinely, I am not trying to be provocative. I just want to accurately describe the church's condition. To me, this image should not be any more shocking than the thought that Jesus considers us as his body in the first place. That being said, I think that the idea expressed another way would be agreed upon almost universally: the church has serious problems. Moreover, they are problems which she cannot see in herself.

So then, this piece is an honest attempt to do what Jesus prescribes: not to look at specks in the eyes of others, but to first take the log out of our own eye. At least, I'm saying that we should acknowledge that it is there. I want to talk about a problem in the church. Yes, the scope is impossibly broad: the catholic (whole, global) church. Furthermore, I want to talk about problems that are, as the analogy suggests, virtually invisible to those of us who are a part of this body. But again, I want to recognize that I am as much a part of the problem as anyone. I am a participant in this body like a skin cell in a particular spot. I am just sending out a signal about what I can sense. Still, it is not lost on me that Jesus' words alluded to above do not refer to a collective exercise but an individual one. And, I cannot pretend for too long that this piece really is genuine, collective self-reflection. I'm just one person, and so are you. You have to decide whether or not these thoughts are relevant for you in your space and time and in your community. Take this signal for exactly what it is worth to you.

II. THE PATIENT

Before attempting to describe this log in our eye, I want to describe this body of ours, the church. Simply put, we are the people who have come to know God through faith in his son, Jesus. Easy enough, right? Well, it is simple in a sense but unfathomably deep in another, of course. Do we really know God? How do we know that we know God? How do we know that we are not deceived?

I think the uncomfortable reality is that none of us know absolutely. Even Paul writing to the Philippians says,

“But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me.”

So we cannot, in an absolute sense, judge even ourselves to be in or out of God’s household, the church. How then should we begin the task of identifying if others, whole groups of people even, ought to be included? In other words, how do we know who should be considered ‘Christian?’ Of course, there have been many attempts to describe essential Christianity. We could reference the work of many saints into antiquity and various creeds and catechisms. There is no shortage of modern studies on the subject either. Many of them put forward a set of doctrines that the writers say must be known and believed to be saved, to know God. Here is a sort of example: ‘You must believe [this] about the Trinity.’ Easy, right? As if we all readily comprehend the Trinity. Another might be, ‘You must hold to [this view] about what scripture is and its veracity.’ As simple as it sounds, I have seen that thinking too long on this one can lead a person to dive deep into epistemology or, more likely, deconstruct. Lastly and especially emphasized among protestants, we have, ‘you must know that none of your works can save you, only by faith can anyone be saved.’

We can believe these things easily enough. But, to merely believe that these are true is, in some sense, meaningless. James in his epistle says, “Even the demons believe and shudder.” The demons, the most lost in all of creation, believe these things, these doctrines. Furthermore, I’m quite sure that demons have better theology than the most perceptive and well-studied theologians among us. It is as Jesus said to the Pharisees, “You diligently study the scriptures thinking that in them you have life… But, you refuse to come to me to have life.”

So then, salvation is not about believing in doctrines. It is about believing in a person: Jesus, the Messiah. We place our faith in him and his ability to present us as acceptable to his father. Like the one who was lifted up with Jesus said, “Remember me when you enter your kingdom.” He was met with the Lord’s commendation immediately, “Today, you will be with me in paradise.” How advanced was that man’s soteriology? How firm was his concept of the Trinity? We cannot know. But, we know that as Paul quoting the prophet Habakkuk says, “The righteous shall live by faith.” It is only through a real, personal faith in Jesus that we are able to truly live. By faith, we relate to him as his bride and to God as sons and daughters. That is what it means to be Christian.

Broad, isn’t it? Maybe deceptively so. By this definition, there are many who could be believing in Jesus. The next question is, even if you are believing, how do you know that you are believing in the true Jesus and not another Christ? Some might say again that doctrine, specifically Christology and an understanding of the attributes of God, will identify the true Jesus and, subsequently, those believing in the true Jesus by virtue of their answering this question correctly. But, I disagree. Surely, the Jesus that I can comprehend at my best isn’t the full, real Jesus. And, I’m sure that every Christian has misconceptions about Jesus that could render him a false Jesus.

Many would then instruct us to identify the primary or cardinal truths that simply cannot be denied about Jesus. If these are denied, then you have a false Jesus. But even if you accept that there are cardinal or essential truths about Jesus and superfluous ones, that does not mean that you are now believing in the person you can identify. Consider, again, the demons. The demon-possessed man more easily recognized Jesus than the greatest born of women (and Jesus’ own cousin), John the Baptist.

So next, I’ll ask: what is the essential condition of having at least encountered the real Christ? I would say that the reality of meeting the actual person of Jesus is not a function of how much you know about him. Like an interaction with any person, it is solely based on them coming to you or you coming to them. And, in the case of Christ, as Jesus himself says to Peter, all such revelation of the Son is from God. And, as John says, “We love him because he first loved us.” So, Christ comes to you, he calls you, and you respond. An infant relates to his mother but knows very little about her. He does not know her name, her likes or dislikes, or her origin. Instead, he exercises a perfect and natural dependence. He, in full innocence and faith, relies on her for his good. He trusts her. There are things he recognizes about her based on what he feels: her smell, her touch, her voice. But, his knowing these things does not legitimize his knowing her or her knowing him. If he were deaf and did not know her voice, she would not be to him any less his mother.

So it is with our relation to God. And, we did not have to be born for God to know us. As Paul says, God has set apart his people from before the world began. Our relation to God is, in that way, ancient and profound and really quite outside us. However, for the conscious person planted in time, our knowing God and our actual believing in Christ will involve us being acquainted with something about Christ, namely, his gospel.

Can we then ascertain the essential contents of the gospel, and thereby identify who is in the church? Again, I say no. The gospel can be communicated in 50 words. Simultaneously, the gospel cannot be communicated in all of the books ever written. The gospel is not an incantation. I do not believe it can be formulated into an exact set of words. The Word is Jesus himself, and his gospel is to be distributed as he instructed: in the name of the triune God by discipleship and the washing of baptism. The giving of the gospel is personal, and although Jesus commands his disciples to be taught, that teaching is to be active and comprehensive. Furthermore, we see examples in the New Testament of people who hear the true gospel, believe it, and yet do not receive the Holy Spirit until a later time. In these cases, was communion with God not just a simple matter of hearing the gospel and believing? And, what should we say about the saints of the Old Testament or the repentant Ninevites? What was the nature of their relationship with the Spirit and how deep was their understanding of the ‘gospel?’

These things are not so easy to set into a concrete formula. God communes with people according to his own will. We do not summon Him. And so, I will not attempt to draw a line around any concept of the ‘essential’ gospel. Instead, I will comfortably leave this work here and move on to questions that I think are more accessible to answer and more pertinent to our discussion of the Church and this log in her eye.

Accordingly, when it comes to evaluating whether a person is truly believing in Jesus, I find that the authors of the New Testament consistently direct their hearers to examine their faith not according to their knowledge but by their fruit. James says that the kind of faith that is not accompanied by works is a “dead faith.” Jesus himself says, “You will know them by their fruit.” The apostles also, in calling out false teachers, repeatedly cite their sensuality and impure motives as evidence of their falseness. I believe we are to evaluate people in this way: by their fruit. So, how should we make such assessments about the fruit of professing Christians today?

On a personal and even a communal level, it seems doable to put such an understanding into practice by examining our own lives and the lives of those around us. We can test ourselves and evaluate each other, exhort, and admonish one another. To do these things is the plain instruction of the New Testament. But, what are we to do about the global church? How do we make assessments about the genuineness of the faith of syncretistic Christians who practice Santería in the Caribbean or 7th generation Greek Orthodox Christians in Central Europe or the myriad of flavors of Evangelical Christians who pepper the American South and Midwest? Are these even questions that we should attempt to answer? And, do our attempts to answer such questions actually inhibit our ability to make this motion on the local level which is what is instructed, biblical, and achievable?

Those are, of course, leading questions. What I’m really saying is that the task of identifying who is ‘in’ or ‘out’ of the global church is not only unproductive but fundamentally un-Christian. As an example from the Protestant perspective, the task of determining whether (capital C) Catholics are ‘in’ or ‘out’ of true Christianity is not a Christian motion, but a political one. Moreover, it is a motion that would inhibit a person from acknowledging and loving the Catholic who is his actual neighbor. However, that is not to say that local churches ought to eschew clearly identifying their members. Determining who is in or out of a local church is scriptural and necessary. We see repeated instruction about church discipline and discerning the body in the New Testament, but this discernment is to be done in observation of one’s conduct and way of life. To make such determinations about people whose fruit are not visible to you, I say again, is not Christian but necessarily political.

Here, I do not define the political as that which is related to the government or civil affairs, nor do I mean to refer to the specific American concepts of the left and the right. By ‘political,’ I am referring to the practice of groups and the people who comprise them to accumulate power and exert influence. I am referring also to the structures built to those ends. In name, these structures serve our need for cooperation, but, in reality, they are about the business of control and domination. They exist in and through our institutions, our governments, and our religions. It is a very natural, although terrible, tendency of man to organize himself in this way. It is, by way of allegory, to become Babel or Egypt or Rome. It is the great tragedy of God’s project working through national, ethnic Israel that Jerusalem became a Babylon. They did not submit to God’s direction but instead did what was right in their own eyes. They struck hands with the impure and the violent to rob widows’ houses and oppress the poor. Though they were commissioned as a nation of priests to the world, Israel’s faithlessness led them to collapse and scatter.

The church today is by no means excluded from being drawn into these kinds of self-destructive, political practices. Furthermore, I say that our widespread way of judging the faith of people we do not know has more to do with the drawing of lines for political territory than it does a true desire to discern the truth about salvation.

Accordingly, I will not attempt to identify who is ‘in’ or ‘out’ of the global church. I am thus unable to complete the stated goal of this section: to define clearly who is in this body. Instead, I will briefly describe to whom I make my address. In Ezekiel’s prophecy, God commissions his servant to mark everyone in Jerusalem who sighed and groaned at such injustices as those mentioned above. In kind, I am speaking to you only if you are concerned enough to listen. If you are concerned about the state of God’s kingdom on earth today, if you sigh and groan at the injustices evident among us, if you feel a gnawing pain in your eye and are agitated enough to identify the cause, then I would like to talk with you.

III. THE DIAGNOSIS

How can we measure our health as a body? If we are indeed ill, what kind of sickness do we have? Also, how bad do we have it? First, I think it would be good to delineate between the symptoms of our condition and the condition itself. And, I would say that the symptoms are apparent.

Discord

Queue the obligatory mention of the ridiculous number of protestant denominations. Queue up the history of wars and murders committed over differences of opinion on baptism or justification or saints or anything else. Bring up the modern-day divisions that would have members of one church holding protests outside of other churches. We are divided from our neighbors, even those who profess Christ, by political party, age, race, and class. We also divide according to commitments to various ideologies and practices such as homeschooling, style of preaching, or cultural preferences like clothing or music. Churches end up describing themselves in what amount to marketing terms that they use to attract congregants and differentiate themselves from other churches. This othering makes competitors of those who, in Christ, should be regarded as brothers. The solution becomes not to understand and to be at peace with each other, but to win arguments against each other and to win more and more to one’s side.

This kind of division and hostility are bound up in the heart of man, but this is not how the church has learned Christ. In his high priestly prayer, Jesus asks for us to be one even as he and his father are one. We fall despairingly, comically short of that.

Adulteration and isolation

There are many evils and injustices in the world today that are, in a sense, occurring outside of Christ’s body. It is the explicit purpose of this article (refer again to the title) to set those aside for now and focus on issues in and of the church. But, in response to evil in the world, there are common life patterns to which certain groups in the church have shown a predisposition.

One of these is retreat. This is the ‘Benedict Option:’ the isolation of the church from the world. It is destructive in a hidden way but to adapt a proverb, the one who is absent in the Lord’s work is like the one who destroys it. After all, it is not an option. It is disobedience. It is an attempt to be not of the world by not being in the world either, and that is not the condition into which God has placed his church. Meanwhile, the other impulse is to adulterate, to accommodate, or to lose one’s own soul in an attempt to gain the world. By this, I do not mean in the external way of mere appearances but at the core. Adulteration is to lose everything by letting go of the only thing.

Christ, in his sermon on the mount, warns against both of these tendencies. He directs us not to become like salt that has lost its saltiness and is therefore indistinguishable from the sand on the road, and he warns us not to become like a light that has been hidden so as to become obscured and useless.

Today, as in the past, there are traditions that will drive themselves into such isolation in the name of purity that they will almost completely lose their sense of mission and form cultures that function as insular echo chambers. Often held together by strong, charismatic leaders, these are the acceptable cults of the Christian religion. On the other hand, there are traditions that habitually regress into worldliness and assimilate themselves out of who they are as Christ’s bride. These turn into little more than social clubs with Christian decoration. I do not find that these tendencies occur along a ‘right’ or ‘left,’ a ‘conservative’ or ‘liberal,’ axis or according to any geography. I have seen that these kinds of movements can mix and often occur in response to each other and to the broader forces in the culture by which Christians, acting like everyone else, set their orientation.

Abdication of the responsibility coincident with freedom

Our marriage to Christ has afforded every individual direct access to God by his Spirit. Why then are there all of these podcasts and Q&As and blogs in which celebrity pastors tell Christians how to live out every minute of their lives? Can I celebrate Christmas? What songs should we sing in church? Can I go to a gay wedding? I am not saying that we should not receive counsel or teach each other, but Christian, why are you asking a man you do not know these questions? He is not your pastor. Is he even anyone’s pastor? Who does he know intimately so as to teach them personally, guide them, and correct them? Maybe no one. Certainly not you.

I say this as someone who has benefitted very much from the words of Piper and Baucham and Macarthur just as I have benefitted from the words of other saints like Luther or Aquinas or Kierkegaard. But, John Piper can’t live my life for me. And, it wouldn’t be good if he could. We have become so concerned with finding the answer to every question that we’ve forgotten how to wrestle with God and walk by his Spirit for ourselves.

In a related way, Christians have become profoundly complacent on the local level. We have, as a matter of course, yielded our Christian responsibility to an officially sanctioned and groomed, professional, Christian class. They are the preacher, the missionary, the evangelist, and the humanitarian. These are the apparent hands and feet of Jesus.

And so, the job of the ‘Christian’ in many spheres today is to live exactly like the world. Our marching orders are to make as much money as we can and live comfortably with a clean conscience knowing that for the pure all things are pure. We expect God’s blessings given to us in Jesus to feature in our daily lives. We are called to pursue our careers and build up our church communities, and we devote ourselves to raising godly families who will continue this work into the future. We are directed to come to church every Sunday to hear such messages from the preacher about where to fix one’s attention and how to give to worthwhile ministries thereby empowering the parts of the body that will go out to the poor, the ignorant, and the hurting in Christ’s name.

Congregants are then left to tend to their own well-being and personal lives. They are to be hospitable to neighbors who are like-minded, foster the relationships that will increase their respectability in the church, and strive for a life that is prosperous and correct at the end of which people will say, ‘That was a life well lived.’

What? How did we get to such a place that this is the promoted vision for the Christian life? This is not the kind of life the apostle, Paul, commends to his readers saying,

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

We have each been called in freedom to the law of love. Despite outward appearances, if we find ourselves biting and devouring one another, it is because we have refused to take up this call to freedom in the Spirit.

But, are things really all that bad in the church today? One might say, “Yes, I live comfortably. Yes, I try to earn a good living. Yes, I benefit from the teaching of the good Christian leaders close to me and far away. Yes, I support ministries that I believe in. So, what? I am doing all of this in God’s will, and I’m not transgressing any commandment. I am, in fact, living this life as an expression of the freedom I have in Christ guided by the Spirit.”

Are we, though? Truly, I’m prompting myself for examination as much as anyone else. Over and over again, we have seen God’s people run with both eyes closed straight into the second commandment: “Do not take my name in vain.” It is so easy to build up a Babel and call it Jerusalem. It is so easy to draw near to God with our lips and our professions, while our hearts are nowhere near him. It is so easy to be lukewarm. Hear Jesus’ words to the young ruler, “Go and sell all that you have and follow me.” This young man did not consider himself in violation of any command, yet he went away without Jesus. I do not mean to speak of money and possessions only. Hear again our Lord, “If you love father or mother, son or daughter more than me, then you are not worthy of me.” Are these statements not threatening to us and our way of life? Paul said that if there is no resurrection of the dead and all this belief is false, then it is Christians who ought most to be pitied. Are we really living in such a way that if the gospel were a lie, we will be the ones who will have lost the most?

What I mean to say is that I believe that we have deluded ourselves. We have created this system of ‘Christianity’ by which we intend to alleviate our conscience all the while making every provision we can for the flesh. We make every provision for comfort, for sensuality, for selfishness, for our own prosperity and security, knowing nothing of the true peace and freedom available to those who will have faith in Christ, who will serve God and not Mamon. We cannot serve both, not even a little. It is either love or hate; it is either master or stranger. And, I believe that instead of living our own Spirit-led lives with a good conscience and a sincere faith, we have again become agents of the powers. As long as that power will write the name, ‘Jesus’ on his forehead and his hand, we find it acceptable, even necessary to bow to him. The consequences of this are the symptoms of our condition. They are also the evidence of our illness. Yes, things in the church are really that bad. In truth, we are devouring each other while carrying on our face the worst kind of false gentleness and grace. We subsidize and justify the murder of the orphan and the foreigner and the poor in our cities and abroad. We teach and preach not to edify, but to file members into our camp and to win percentage points of converts and adherents. We love our own to build our strength and we despise the other while he lay in need on the road.

What then is this illness? I say the illness is idolatry. It is the sickness that was diagnosed of Israel from Sinai to Jerusalem to Babylon and back again. And, it is still with us today. By way of this protracted metaphor of the body, it is Cancer. Instead of each member of the body living and serving in the way God intended, we have rapid and ultimately destructive cell growth. Our cells do not wish to love and relate to each other, but, in pride, elevate themselves to dominate and to conquer. Ears replicate themselves in the spleen and feet push on the heart to converge and conform and they divide and divide and divide and divide. The pernicious character of this condition is such that the disease’s progression can actually seem like healthy growth. We can easily confuse our filling the pews, establishing seminaries, and winning elections for activity that builds Christ’s kingdom. When we feel our sickness or rather its symptoms, it is easy enough to blame on external factors: the other or the enemy, the specks we see outside. And, so we never address or even see the column in our own eye that is killing us.

All of this leads to the following conclusion: the Christian religion has itself become a meta-institution which undermines the legitimate practice of Christianity. It is this institution which has become the object of our idolatry. Christianity is not unique in becoming an institution in this respect. Organizational webs that could be similarly described have sprung up from other religions, ideologies, and histories. But, for Christianity to be thus described is, I think, the most ironic and the most tragic. Contrary to the modern concept of the prudish, straight-jacketed, puritanical Christian, true Christianity is a philosophy of radical freedom. Listen to Paul’s words to the Philippians, “All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” Paul knows that each person in his address has the Holy Spirit. He does not expect nor want absolute conformity from his readers, but he wants them to each follow God. Elsewhere, Paul asserts his own credibility on the same footing albeit wryly saying, “I think that I too have the Spirit of God.” But, the point is that his credibility is established in the Spirit, the same Spirit at work in us.

What other way of thinking would entrust to its followers such empowerment and freedom? It is the unique, Christian revelation that each of us are called, like Adam, to exercise dominion first over oneself and then over the creation. Trying to exercise dominion over another person dehumanizes them. It deprives them of the task which God assigned to them: to rule. And, we are each to rule not in the pretense of our own authority nor in the authority of any external power but according to the authority that Christ himself announced to his disciples, that authority which he received after the triumph of his resurrection. But, these systems and structures that we have made in the name of Jesus actually inhibit our ability to obey his commission. Their aim is not the humble empowerment of Christlike service, but the proliferation of their favored -ism. Their dominion is in a worldly way, the way of the political, and not in the way of Christ. In truth, they tear us as his body down and separate us from him and each other.

At this point, one might say that this is no revelation and that the institutional church is hardly the invisible ‘log in the eye.’ They might easily acknowledge its harm, but because everyone knows that a big, bad, institutional church is a problem, they could not consider this a malady to which we are blind. The evidence I have in response: whenever it comes to addressing the issue of the institutional church, all we seem to do is either play musical chairs with the heads of the hydra or branch off and create new wings of the larger meta-institution monster. To say, ‘Give up your institution and join mine’ is not a serious attempt at deinstitutionalization. The most conspicuous example, the Reformation, as it turns out, did not so much tear down the corrupt structures of the church as it did expand and transmute them. And so, regarding solutions, where does that leave us?

IV. THE CURE

I do not have the cure. That is the whole point. You are to take responsibility for yourself and embrace the freedom you have in Christ, utilize your gifts and discernment empowered by the Spirit in your community, and live according to the knowledge that Jesus is coming back soon at which time he will require an account of you as an individual. You are to love God and neighbor for yourself. You are to grow in wisdom and insight of every kind for yourself. You are to live the life God assigned to you by the power of the Spirit who raised even Jesus from the dead to life everlasting. Our refusal to take up this charge is what has given life to the machine of the institutional church. It has set up itself as the object of our worship and service instead of God, and in order to resist it…

I cannot tell you what to do.

V. WHAT I WANT TO DO

Ok. I realize that might be unsatisfying. But, I meant every word of it. And, what I am about to describe now is not a prescription. It is not even a recommendation. It is just a description. If, in your being led by the Spirit of Christ, you find some of this useful to reference or even adapt into practice, then praise God. But, you won't be able to blame me on judgement day, ok? I'm just telling you my own resolutions. These are largely based on the example of the early church as shown to us in the New Testament, but they are still specific and personal to me. What you do is on you. If you’d like a name for this set of principles, call it, with respect to the practice of Christianity, Ecumenical Anarchism. And, please do not mistake this for a position about government. I am speaking only about the practice of the Christian religion which operates completely over and above such things.

* I will be uninterested in politics (methods and devices used to control other people)
* I will not recognize levels of organization above the local church
* I commit to know and love my literal neighbors, especially those who profess Christ
* I will advocate for my local church to admit members based on an evaluation of their lives as lived in community and practice church discipline when appropriate
* I commit to know and submit to local church leaders
* I will not view seminary as required for church leadership
* I will advocate for leaders to be made and tested in the local church
* I will advocate for local church leaders to embrace their role which is to know and lead their congregants
* I will advocate for the appointment of deacons to help in the administration of charity and for the coordination of other tasks
* I will advocate for the divestment of my local church’s assets. Property (buildings, money, food) should instead be in the possession of individuals who are then empowered to practice generosity
* I will advocate for congregants to directly supply the needs of local church leaders so that they can be free to focus on shepherding
* I will advocate for local church service and activities to be more visible and grounded in community
* I will commit to sacrificial participation in building God's kingdom (giving, serving, hospitality, etc.) and cease offloading these responsibilities to those in professional ministry
* I will advocate for leaders, evangelists, and teachers to equip the saints themselves for these things, for the work of the ministry
* I will focus on local needs and opportunities. These will primarily be geographically local, but can also include that which is local to the circumstances of the particular church or individual
* I will not have a consumer mindset about church; I will resist demographic-based segregation, service and program marketing, and flippant membership. I will advocate for leaders to avoid this consumerism which feeds the church systems themselves rather than the body of Christ
* I will resist ceding the responsibility of this stewardship to the powers whether from governments, from denominations, or from any other kind of external structure. I will not allow distinctions and divisions in these spheres to prevent me from fellowshipping with and loving the people around me, especially the Christians in my community.

VI. OPEN QUESTIONS

Since this is reflection and not prescription, I will be open with the questions that I have as I write this. These could be seeds, I think, of further discussion on the local level.

* How does a local church scale if congregants increase (church planting, church growth, etc.)?
* How should a local church respond to large-scale or global needs?
* What problems are outside of the purview of the local church? What is better left to individuals or other kinds of organizations?
* How can church leaders in different communities collaborate, even organize? How can meeting in public facilitate that?

VII. CONCLUSION

Can we let go of our Christian systems for the sake of Christianity? In our marriage to Christ, we have wandered by the very means we intended to stay bound to him. Can we come back now by giving ourselves up to him? We must let God, as a surgeon, excise this log out of our eye. We must let God cut into us to remove the cancer. We must even lie naked and exposed before God. He must dictate the terms of our relation to him and to each other. This requires humility and faith. When Christians in the Corinthian church were divided over which leaders to follow, Paul said that they should learn from them “not to go beyond what is written, that none of [them] may be puffed up in favor of one against another.” We need humility to avoid elevating any one of us against another, and we need faith to take up God’s direction regarding his church.

This beam in our eye is structural. It is stable and solid. Our dependence on it is natural, but we must surrender it. This beam, in another manner of speaking, is not meant to be carried in the Christian’s eye but on his back. We, therefore, must each carry our own cross, take hold of our own responsibility to walk by the Spirit in faith, and we must each make following Christ our own. We can only be brought back to Christ by surrender in faith. God will do it. It is he who sanctifies us, and with Him all things are possible. His bride can be sanctified, she can be filled with light to see clearly, she can love him and be brought into his presence. And, she will be.

“The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your whole body is also full of light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly full of light, as when the lamp with its bright shining gives you light.”

I was happy with my apple devices and conducting my life out in the open. Even when I was conducting quasi-legal retail operations, I always depended on the constitution to protect me from unreasonable searches and seizures. If I ever got busted, I figured I would just force the prosecution to take me through piece by piece every part of law enforcement's evidence gathering operations, which (especially with the local law enforcement in rural Missouri) likely would have trampled my civil rights. In retrospect, I was probably a lot more vulnerable than I wanted to admit, but this was years ago and I think I was tempting fate recreationally. I also imagined that a jury would never render a verdict against me, even with good evidence. And if they did, I would appeal it. Law school taught me to see the system as much more pliable than law enforcement wants anyone to think it is. Lacking shame is also an endearing quality.

One thing I spent a lot of time thinking about during these years, despite my stubborn insistence that everything would work out okay (which it mostly did), was my digital vulnerability. I was careful with what was said, how it was said, who is was said to. But never careful enough, and given the gist of the last few years and Big Tech's coziness with law enforcement, I should have abandoned most of my devices way sooner.

Now, I no longer run an illicit Farmer's Market, but I am endlessly interested in erasing my fingerprints from prying eyes -- government or otherwise. That said, I don't mind having my name attached to my ideas. I recently convinced a friend to join Nostr and when he saw I was using my real name he couldn't believe it. If I was starting social media cold, I would encourage people to maintain a pseudonym. I have pseudonyms in various corners of the internet. They are probably too leaky to overcome basic scrutiny from a moderate hacker, but they give me a little distance. Probably my willful ignorance cropping up here again, but I live by a phrase I heard in a Sherlock Holmes film once: "It's so over: it's covert." I just figure I can say and do enough to obfuscate my activities if someone tries to nail me down at some point. But, deeper than that, I can stop gladly handing over any trust to corporations that have a record of prying and spying.

I don't trust Windows. I don't really trust Apple, although I remember the landmark case with the Sandy Hook shooter's phone, where Apple was refusing to unlock the thing. This gave me a bit of trust, but you can just feel the fingers of the company all over your devices. I also lost a lot of trust in Apple during the previous presidential campaign politics where every headline that was pushed from the Apple news app was overwhelmingly anti-Trump. I am not the biggest Trump guy by ANY stretch, but I found this to be just way too heavy-handed for what should be a politically agnostic news pushing application.

I definitely don't trust any centralized social media. Facebook has burned so much trust over the years it is laughable that they control rural communities the way they do. When the cat is out of the bag on Nostr, I hope there is a mass exodus. It won't be a mass exodus, but even a slow and progressive exodus would be fine. Starve out the big guys. Don't give them the data and the clicks.

Twitter feels better, but not by a ton. There is enough of a desire to be the "everything app" that i don't want any part of it anymore. Also, the free tier is shit -- I had premium plus for a while until the last couple of months when the price went way up, and it was unclear whether I had access to the full AI features of Grok, so I ditched it. About the same time I became active on Nostr, so it hasn't bothered me much.

I'm not full carnivore, but I have eaten more steaks in the last year than in the past. I'm not full open source, but I am weaning myself off the spy-machines.

I will be installing Linux on my PC (once my graphic card gets here from Germany), and it will be slow and probably painful at times, but I am getting away from it. I will also be installing GrapheneOS on my backup phone, so that I am familiar and accustomed to escaping the ivory towers in that realm too.

Little by little, but it's hard to overstate how much more hopeful life feels when you rebel against the digital overlords. Open-source money is better, so might as well bitcoin-ify the rest of my networks, too.

Core idea: Use geotagged anonymized Nostr events with Cashu-based points to snitch on cop locations for a more relaxed driving and walking

We all know navigation apps. There's one of them that allows you to report on locations of cops. It's Waze and it's owned by Google. There are perfectly fine navigation apps like Organic Maps, that unfortunately lack the cop-snitching features. In some countries, it is illegal to report cop locations, so it would probably not be a good idea to use your npub to report them. But getting a points Cashu token as a reward and exchanging them from time to time would solve this. You can of course report construction, traffic jams, ...

Proposed solution: Add Nostr client (Copstr) to Organic Maps. Have a button in bottom right allowing you to report traffic situations. Geotagged events are published on Nostr relays, users sending cashu tokens as thank you if the report is valid. Notes have smart expiration times.

Phase 2: Automation: Integration with dashcams and comma.ai allow for automated AI recognition of traffic events such as traffic jams and cops, with automatic touchless reporting.

Result: Drive with most essential information and with full privacy. Collect points to be cool and stay cool.

การรับประทานอาหารที่ปรุงด้วยความร้อนสูงบ่อยๆ นอกจากจะทำให้ร่างกายแก่เร็วขึ้นแล้ว ยังสามารถเพิ่มความเสี่ยงของการเกิดโรคต่างๆ ได้ ดังนั้นเราควรพิจารณาและเลือกวิธีการปรุงอาหารที่เหมาะสมเพื่อลดความเสี่ยงจาก AGEs และดูแลสุขภาพของเราให้ดีในระยะยาวครับ

ทั้งหมดที่เล่ามา ไม่ได้เขียนขึ้นเพื่อทำให้ใครต้องกลัวอาหาร หรือรู้สึกผิดเวลาหยิบของทอดเข้าปาก แต่เพื่อชวนกันมองให้ลึกว่า เราไม่ได้ควรถามแค่ว่า ‘ใช้น้ำมันอะไรดี’ แต่ควรถามต่อว่า ‘เราปรุงยังไง ใช้อุณหภูมิเท่าไร และกินแบบไหนในชีวิตจริง’ ต่างหาก การมีความรู้เรื่อง AGEs ไม่ได้แปลว่าเราต้องตัดทุกอย่างที่เคยชอบออกจากชีวิต แต่เป็นการมีแว่นขยายไว้ส่องดูว่า อะไรที่ควรเบาลง อะไรที่ควรปรับ แล้วใช้มันอย่างรู้เท่าทัน เพราะสุดท้ายแล้ว สุขภาพที่ดี ไม่ได้มาจากการห้ามทุกอย่าง แต่มาจากความเข้าใจในสิ่งที่เรากินต่างหากครับ

Precision Fermentation (PF) ต่อจากนี้ไปอยากให้จำคำนี้ไว้ให้ดีๆ อ่านข่าวอาหารอะไรคอยดูว่ามีคำนี้ไหม มันคือการใช้ จุลินทรีย์ที่ถูกดัดแปลงพันธุกรรม (GMO yeast, bacteria, fungi) เพื่อผลิต “สารอาหาร” เช่น โปรตีนจากนม ไข่ขาว ไขมันสัตว์ เจลาติน วิตามิน โดยไม่ต้องมีสัตว์จริงอยู่ในระบบเลยสัก ใช้ตัวจุดขายว่า “อาหารแห่งอนาคตที่ปลอดสัตว์ เป็นมิตรกับโลก”

แต่เบื้องหลังมันคือ... ระบบปิดที่บริษัทเดียวควบคุมตั้งแต่สายพันธุ์จุลินทรีย์ เครื่องจักร ไปจนถึงสิทธิบัตรของอาหารทุกชิ้น

เป็นการหมักชีวิตให้กลายเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ ในระบบ PF นักวิจัยจะเลือก DNA จากสัตว์ เช่น เคซีน (โปรตีนนมวัว) อัลบูมิน (โปรตีนไข่) ฮีม (กลิ่นเลือดในเนื้อวัว) แล้วเอาไปใส่ไว้ในยีสต์หรือจุลินทรีย์ เพื่อให้มัน "หมัก" ผลิตสารเหล่านี้ออกมาในถังขนาดใหญ่

ฟังดูน่าสนใจใช่ไหมครับ? แต่ DNA เหล่านั้นจะถูกจดสิทธิบัตรทันที และจุลินทรีย์เหล่านั้นก็จะถูกควบคุมโดยบริษัทไม่กี่รายเท่านั้น หมายความว่า โปรตีนจากไข่ นม หรือเนื้อ จะกลายเป็น “กรรมสิทธิ์ของบริษัท” ไม่ใช่ของธรรมชาติอีกต่อไป

บริษัทไหนบ้างที่เล่นเกมนี้ เรามาลองดูตัวอย่างกันครับ Perfect Day – ผลิตโปรตีนนมด้วยยีสต์ GMO The EVERY Company – ไข่ขาวจากเชื้อรา Clara Foods – โปรตีนจากไข่ด้วย PF Motif FoodWorks – กลิ่นเนื้อและไขมันจาก PF Impossible Foods – ฮีม (heme) จากถั่วเหลือง GMO ที่หมักด้วยยีสต์ดัดแปลง และที่สำคัญเหมือนเดิมครับเบื้องหลังคือเงินทุนจาก SoftBank, Bill Gates, Google Ventures และบริษัทอาหารระดับโลก เช่น Nestlé, Tyson Foods, Unilever

คำถามก็คือมันคืออาหารหรือเคมี เพราะสิ่งที่ได้จาก PF มักมีสถานะก้ำกึ่งระหว่างอาหารกับสารเคมี นอกจากนี้ยังมีงานวิจัยน้อยมากเรื่องผลกระทบต่อร่างกายระยะยาว ไม่ผ่านการพิสูจน์ในระบบย่อยอาหารมนุษย์อย่างชัดเจน หลายชนิดไม่บอกบนฉลากว่าได้จาก GMO fermentation หรือไม่ และบางบริษัทจงใจเรียกของตัวเองว่า “non-animal” เพื่อเลี่ยงการเปิดเผยว่าเป็น GMO

แต่สิ่งที่คาดว่าน่าจะเกิดขึ้นแน่ๆคือ 1.การครอบครองพันธุกรรมของสิ่งมีชีวิต ทุกยีสต์หรือจุลินทรีย์ในระบบ PF ถูก “จดสิทธิบัตร” ทั้งหมด ใครเลียนแบบ โดนฟ้อง ใครผลิตเองโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาต โดนปิดกิจการ 2.การขับไล่เกษตรกรออกจากระบบอาหาร ไม่ต้องรีดนม ไม่ต้องเก็บไข่ ไม่ต้องเลี้ยงสัตว์ บริษัทไม่ต้องพึ่งเกษตรกรเลย แล้วใครจะอยู่รอดในระบบนี้? 3.การกำหนดราคาโดยผูกขาด PF ทำให้บริษัทมีอำนาจควบคุมแหล่งโปรตีน ถ้าบริษัทไม่ขาย หรือขายแพง ก็ไม่มีใครมีอำนาจต่อรอง 4.การขาดเสรีภาพในการเลือกอาหาร ถ้าของจริงถูกลดบทบาท และของเทียมถูกยัดใส่ผลิตภัณฑ์ทั่วไปแบบไม่ระบุฉลาก คนจะถูกหลอกว่า "กินอาหาร" ทั้งที่จริงๆ กำลังกินผลิตภัณฑ์ชีววิศวกรรมที่ไม่มีใครรู้แน่ชัดว่าปลอดภัยจริงไหม

หากอาหารของโลกต้องผ่านถังหมัก ผ่านโรงงาน ผ่านระบบสิทธิบัตร และต้องขอใบอนุญาตจากบริษัทยักษ์ทุกครั้งที่ผลิต โลกเราจะเหลือ “อาหารจากธรรมชาติ” แค่ในนิทานพื้นบ้าน อาหารที่ปู่ย่าตายายเคยปลูก เคยเลี้ยง เคยกิน อาจกลายเป็นของผิดกฎหมายในโลกอนาคต เพราะ ของที่ไม่ผ่านระบบ PF จะถูกตีตราว่า “ไม่สะอาด” หรือ “ไม่ยั่งยืน”

สิ่งที่ต้องรอดูต่อไปคือ เกมส์การโจมตีอาหาร real food จะมาในรูปแบบใดบ้าง ความสะอาด โรค หรือ การกีดกัน

How and Why I found Nostr?

I teach contract drafting. That is who I am.

To teach the subject I maintained few websites through self-hosted Wordpress. I faced numerous challenges despite spending money on hosting, domain and whatnot. I do not have any technical background. So, you can understand my frustration when my websites kept disappearing due to hacking. I always put a brave face and started afresh.

I used Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Obsidian to draft my posts and lessons. So, I had some backups. Thankfully, I also did post some of the training sessions on my youtube channel. Checkout my previous post for link to the Youtube Playlist.

Since, I teach for free, every time my websites were hacked, it pained me to see the bad side of human race. I was not hurting anyone, spending my own money, still someone unknown to me, for whatever reasons, could stop my mission.

I started empathising with the belief in the internet being dysfunctional and still being beyond reach of common man.

Then I found some hope, when around a year or so earlier, I found Anytype. A simple app, the everything app, which promises anonymity, security from data breach, and a promise to share ones thoughts publicly with the others soon via web. Although some of its features (e.g. option to self host) are little bit technical for me, I still have high hopes. It is similar to Obsidian, yet way more than that.

I could use either Obsidian or Anytype for writing and publishing my data on web. So, I recently surrendered to the idea of using one of Obsidian's plugins to publish my content. These provide the option to publish your obsidian notes on web through sub-domain. One that I used before was Obsius Plugin.

But, secretly I also wished want more.

I wished to maintain my same anonymous profile I have on Telegram. I have a dedicated student base on Telegram. So, I wanted them to easily find me or atleast my content on a new platform.

I also wanted to stop spending more money, or at least save some by spending less.

And, voila!

I came across Nostr unexpectedly through Obsidian and found a Plugin Nostr Writer by James.

I was looking for a simple method to host my blog posts and lessons on contract drafting. And, I found much more....

What did I find?

After going through the Nostr Writer](https://github.com/jamesmagoo/nostr-writer) documentation on Github, I searched for Nostr and found NOSTR.COM.

As expected, it took me some time to understand the concepts of Public and Private Keys, Clients, Relays and so on. But, within 2-3 days, I found that this was just a SMALL TIP of a HUGE ICEBERG, yet to be show it's full potential.

My most sincere thank you to its creator, and to people who spend time explaining it and making it AWESOME.

As we enter Holy Week, we are confronted with a world steeped in sin, strife, conflict, and mortality. There exists a peculiar fascination among some with societal decline, as if they derive satisfaction from witnessing civilization’s unraveling. This attraction to darkness may reflect their inner turmoil, a desire to see others share in their suffering. Alternatively, it could stem from a profound hopelessness, a belief that life lacks purpose, leading them to wish for its end. The allure of dystopian futures is, indeed, a curious phenomenon.

Alexander Hamilton once yearned for war as a means to elevate his status, a reflection of youthful ambition for decisive action. Such a desire—to distinguish oneself and ascend the social hierarchy—underlies some of the grim visions of the future propagated by certain ideological circles. Their aim is not war itself but a reconfiguration of power, placing authority in the hands of those who affirm their values. For years, such individuals have held sway, yet their influence appears to be waning.

In the absence of hope, many embrace visions of decline. This despair is characteristic of a faltering empire, signaling the end of an era. The younger generation, burdened by weariness, falters under the weight of their circumstances. They lack hope for a brighter future and see no clear path out of life’s monotony. In a word, they are trapped, uncertain of how to proceed.

We witnessed a similar sentiment during the Arab Spring, where upheaval was celebrated as a longed-for revolution, a societal reset. The assassination of a prominent corporate executive, such as the CEO of United Health, evokes a comparable yearning for disruption. There is a desire for a cultural transformation, though its precise nature remains elusive.

Yet, the youth find themselves dominated by the very elites whose rhetoric they echo. Unlike the 1960s, when generational values clashed overtly, today’s power structures co-opt the language of the young, redirecting their frustration toward populist movements. This inversion is a cunning strategy, mitigating the potential for significant rebellion.

The reality remains that the older generation holds the wealth, power, and authority, while the young are consistently marginalized. They are the ones left with little hope, ensnared by the system. However, a quiet rebellion is emerging—one rooted in hope and faith. Many are beginning to see through the falsehoods propagated by those in power. The promises of governmental provision, once alluring, now appear untenable in light of fiscal realities. The youth seek a new source of hope, a renewed perspective. Thankfully, they are beginning to find it, turning toward faith as a foundation for a more optimistic future.

در دنیای امروز، بارها دیده‌ایم که به‌خاطر یک کار خوب، یک سخن درست یا گذشته‌ای درخشان، کسی را روی سکوی قهرمانی می‌گذاریم و او را بی‌نقص و مطلق می‌پنداریم. اما حقیقت این است که هیچ انسانی کامل نیست. آدم‌ها موجوداتی پیچیده‌اند که با گذر زمان، تجربه و شرایط، تغییر می‌کنند. آنچه امروز ستودنی است، لزوماً فردا هم همان ارزش را ندارد.

برای مثال، توماج صالحی را در نظر بگیرید؛ کسی که با صدای بلند از حق مردم گفت، شعر خواند و در زندان و زیر فشار شکنجه مقاومت کرد. شجاعت او شایسته تحسین است، اما نمی‌توان انتظار داشت که تحت چنین فشار طاقت‌فرسایی، همیشه همان تصویر قهرمانانه را حفظ کند. یا مسیح علینژاد که علیه جمهوری اسلامی سخن گفت و کارهایی کرد که بسیاری آن را ارزشمند می‌دانند. اما این به آن معنا نیست که هر تصمیم یا سخنی از او بی‌نقص است یا او ذاتاً بی‌عیب است. حتی خاندان پهلوی که زمانی نماد پیشرفت و مدرنیته بودند، نمی‌توانند به‌تنهایی معیار حقیقت یا ناجی یک ملت باشند.

این ماجرا به چهره‌های سیاسی و تاریخی محدود نمی‌شود. ارنستو چگوارا برای بسیاری نماد مبارزه و آزادی است، اما وقتی دقیق‌تر نگاه کنیم، می‌بینیم برخی تصمیماتش به ضرر مردم تمام شد. در زندگی روزمره هم همین‌طور است؛ ممکن است کسی در لحظه‌ای خاص کاری درست انجام دهد، اما این دلیل نمی‌شود که همیشه شایسته اعتماد بی‌چون‌وچرا باشد.

بت‌سازی از آدم‌ها خطر بزرگی دارد: وقتی کسی را اسطوره می‌کنیم، دیگر نمی‌توانیم نقص‌ها و اشتباهاتش را ببینیم. اگر روزی خطایی از او سر بزند، یا شوکه می‌شویم یا به هر بهانه‌ای سعی می‌کنیم آن را توجیه کنیم. این روند، ما را از قضاوت منصفانه و خردمندانه دور می‌کند و به جای حقیقت، به توهم وابسته‌مان می‌سازد.

به جای بت‌سازی، بهتر است انسان‌ها را همان‌گونه که هستند ببینیم: با خوبی‌ها و کاستی‌ها، با شجاعت‌ها و ضعف‌ها. اگر کسی کار درستی کرد، تحسینش کنیم، اما نگذاریم این تحسین، چشم‌مان را روی حقیقت ببندد. این نگاه نه‌تنها ما را از سرخوردگی و توهم دور نگه می‌دارد، بلکه قدرت تحلیل و یادگیری‌مان را تقویت می‌کند.

اما آزادی واقعی چگونه به دست می‌آید؟ آزادی حقیقی در انتظار منجی یا قهرمان نیست. آزادی زمانی معنا پیدا می‌کند که هر فرد، خود قدرت انتخاب، تفکر و عمل داشته باشد. به جای وابستگی به یک نفر یا یک گروه، باید سیستمی غیرمتمرکز و آزاد ایجاد کنیم که در آن هیچ‌کس تحت سلطه دیگری نباشد. همان‌طور که شهبانو فرح پهلوی گفته است: «همیشه نور بر تاریکی پیروز است.» این نور، نماد خرد جمعی و آزادی است که با اتکا به خود و همکاری با دیگران، تاریکی جهل و استبداد را از بین می‌برد.

در نهایت، به جای پرستش قهرمان‌های خیالی، بیایید ارزش‌ها و ایده‌ها را مستقل از آدم‌ها بسنجیم. با عمل آزادانه، نقد منصفانه و همکاری جمعی، می‌توانیم راه را برای جامعه‌ای عادلانه، آزاد و روشن هموار کنیم.

Seit Jahren werden wir darauf getrimmt, dass Fakten eigentlich gefühlt seien. Aber nicht alles ist relativ und nicht alles ist nach Belieben interpretierbar. Diese Schokoladenhasen beispielsweise, die an Ostern in unseren Gefilden typisch sind, «ostern» zwar nicht, sondern sie sitzen in der Regel, trotzdem verwandelt sie das nicht in «Sitzhasen».

Nichts soll mehr gelten, außer den immer invasiveren Gesetzen. Die eigenen Traditionen und Wurzeln sind potenziell «pfui», um andere Menschen nicht auszuschließen, aber wir mögen uns toleranterweise an die fremden Symbole und Rituale gewöhnen. Dabei ist es mir prinzipiell völlig egal, ob und wann jemand ein Fastenbrechen feiert, am Karsamstag oder jedem anderen Tag oder nie – aber bitte freiwillig.

Und vor allem: Lasst die Finger von den Kindern! In Bern setzten kürzlich Demonstranten ein Zeichen gegen die zunehmende Verbreitung woker Ideologie im Bildungssystem und forderten ein Ende der sexuellen Indoktrination von Schulkindern.

Wenn es nicht wegen des heiklen Themas Migration oder wegen des Regenbogens ist, dann wegen des Klimas. Im Rahmen der «Netto Null»-Agenda zum Kampf gegen das angeblich teuflische CO2 sollen die Menschen ihre Ernährungsgewohnheiten komplett ändern. Nach dem Willen von Produzenten synthetischer Lebensmittel, wie Bill Gates, sollen wir baldmöglichst praktisch auf Fleisch und alle Milchprodukte wie Milch und Käse verzichten. Ein lukratives Geschäftsmodell, das neben der EU aktuell auch von einem britischen Lobby-Konsortium unterstützt wird.

Sollten alle ideologischen Stricke zu reißen drohen, ist da immer noch «der Putin». Die Unions-Europäer offenbaren sich dabei ständig mehr als Vertreter der Rüstungsindustrie. Allen voran zündelt Deutschland an der Kriegslunte, angeführt von einem scheinbar todesmutigen Kanzlerkandidaten Friedrich Merz. Nach dessen erneuter Aussage, «Taurus»-Marschflugkörper an Kiew liefern zu wollen, hat Russland eindeutig klargestellt, dass man dies als direkte Kriegsbeteiligung werten würde – «mit allen sich daraus ergebenden Konsequenzen für Deutschland».

Wohltuend sind Nachrichten über Aktivitäten, die sich der allgemeinen Kriegstreiberei entgegenstellen oder diese öffentlich hinterfragen. Dazu zählt auch ein Kongress kritischer Psychologen und Psychotherapeuten, der letzte Woche in Berlin stattfand. Die vielen Vorträge im Kontext von «Krieg und Frieden» deckten ein breites Themenspektrum ab, darunter Friedensarbeit oder die Notwendigkeit einer «Pädagogik der Kriegsuntüchtigkeit».

Der heutige «stille Freitag», an dem Christen des Leidens und Sterbens von Jesus gedenken, ist vielleicht unabhängig von jeder religiösen oder spirituellen Prägung eine passende Einladung zur Reflexion. In der Ruhe liegt die Kraft. In diesem Sinne wünsche ich Ihnen frohe Ostertage!

Die Figuren in der Koalition der Willigen entlarven ihre charakterliche Ungeeignetheit für politische Ämter mit Verantwortung für ganze Nationen. Staatliche Entscheidungen dürfen nicht emotionsgesteuert sein. Aber genau das ist derzeit der Fall. Überall wird mit der Moralkeule um sich gehauen. Erwachsene benehmen sich wie im Kindergarten und zeigen ihre fehlende Reife. Von menschlicher Größe ganz zu schweigen.

Bisher war es schön warm unter den Fittichen der USA. Deutschland hat aufgrund seiner Geschichte besonders gut den Nick-August gespielt und sich selbst eine Souveränität vorgelogen, die es so nie gegeben hat. Jetzt sieht es so aus, als wollten die USA Europa in die Freiheit, in die Volljährigkeit entlassen. Es könnte auch sein, dass die USA aus der NATO austreten und sich vor allem um sich selbst kümmern. Allein das würde die Welt schon wesentlich friedlicher machen, denkt man beispielsweise an den Einmarsch in den Irak. Es gehen Gerüchte um, dass Truppen aus Rumänien und Deutschland abgezogen werden sollen.

Vielleicht geht es bei den Friedensverhandlungen zwischen Trump und Putin nicht nur um die Ukraine, sondern, wenn man schon mal dabei ist, auch um die Kräfteverteilung in Europa insgesamt. Waffeneinsätze in der Ukraine wurden maßgeblich von Wiesbaden aus gesteuert. 2026 sollen dort US-Mittelstrecken-Raketen stationiert werden. Der an Führungsstärke kleinste Kanzler der Bundesrepublik, Scholz, hat das brav abgenickt. Der nur noch durch ein Wunder zu verhindernde neue Kanzler, das Glas Gewürzgurken aus dem Sauerland, provoziert Russland mit seiner Ankündigung zu den Taurus-Raketen dafür um so mehr. Da ist man schon fast gewillt, sich den Scholz zurückzuwünschen, als das kleinere Übel.

Statt mit Besonnenheit und Vernunft die veränderte Sicherheitslage mit den USA als eher abtrünnige Schutzmacht neu zu bewerten, hierin auch eine Chance zu sehen, eine starke Botschaft und den Willen auf ein friedliches neues Miteinander in den Fokus zu stellen, reagieren die meisten europäischen politischen „Spitzenkräfte“ mit blindem Aktionismus, der weltenbrandgefährlich ist. Und Deutschland, dass es sich aufgrund seiner Geschichte am wenigsten erlauben könnte, macht mit von der Leyen in Brüssel und Merz, Pistorius und anderen Kriegs-Warm-Uppern am weitesten das Maul auf, obwohl es sich am bedecktesten halten sollte.

Angesichts der Tatsache, dass Europa gegenüber einer Atommacht wie Russland vollkommen wehrlos ist, wäre es wirklich viel gescheiter, sich der neuen Situation anzupassen und ständig Signale der Friedensbereitschaft zu senden. Unterstütz von den Briten und Franzosen schmiegt Brüssel eine Koalition der Friedensuntüchtigen, wie sie Uwe Froschauer aktuell in seinem Buch „Die Friedensuntüchtigen“ beschreibt. Stattdessen passiert das Gegenteil.

Es ist nicht nur legitim, sondern sogar Aufgabe der einzelnen Staaten, eine gewisse Verteidigungsfähigkeit aufbauen zu wollen. Derzeit geschieht das jedoch unter falschen Vorzeichen. Die NATO, als sogenanntes Verteidigungsbündnis zur Vorlage zu nehmen, wäre keine gute Idee, weil sie sich mangels Gelegenheit (der Verteidigung) eher als das Gegenteil herausgestellt hat, wie man seinerzeit in Jugoslawien erleben musste.

Russland als Feind hochzustilisieren, um ein Aufrüsten zu beschleunigen, ist jedoch der denkbar falscheste Weg. Wenn ein Yorkshire-Terrier einen Pit-Bull ankläfft, könnte das fatale Folgen haben. Wenn die europäischen „Geistesgrößen“ bei Verstand wären und in der Lage, die Realität richtig einzuschätzen, würden sie das erkennen.

Woher kommt die Überheblichkeit, woher die Unfähigkeit zur Einschätzung der Lage, woher die Realitätsverweigerung? Ist das gewollt, steckt ein Plan dahinter oder sind „die“ einfach „nur“ strunzendoof? Letzteres wäre die gefährlichste Variante.

Es stellt sich immer mehr heraus, dass Corona offensichtlich ein Test war, wie weit die Menschen in ihrer Obrigkeitshörigkeit zu treiben sind. Wie dumm und gefolgsam sind die Schafe wirklich?

Bei einer Lieferung von Taurus-Raketen, die von Deutschen gesteuert werden müssen, könnte es vielleicht gelingen, die Krim-Brücke zu zerstören. Den Kriegsverlauf würde das jedoch nicht beeinflussen. Russland gewinnt so oder so. Im Gegenteil, die Folgen für Deutschland würden den dort möglicherweise angerichteten Schaden bei weitem übertreffen.

Während ich schreibe kommt gerade auf RT DE (aufgrund der „Pressefreiheit“ verzichtet man derzeit offiziell auf diesen Sender) folgende Meldung rein: Russisches Außenministerium: Taurus-Einsatz bedeutet deutsche Kriegsbeteiligung.

Es ist nicht nachvollziehbar, dass Merz offensichtlich nicht in der Lage ist anzuerkennen, dass Russland über Oreschnik-Raketen verfügt. Er scheint nicht in der Lage zu sein, die möglichen Folgen einschätzen zu können. Genau so wenig wie Pistorius. Die beiden kommen einem vor, wie zwei, die sich im stockfinsteren Wald verirrt haben und sich gegenseitig Mut zusprechen.

Nach wie vor gibt es keine fundierten Beweise dafür, dass Russland die Absicht hat, Deutschland auf unschöne Weise bereisen zu wollen. Das kann nicht oft genug gesagt werden.

Wie schon vor dem Ukraine-Konflikt, durch ein ständiges mit der NATO-Osterweiterung Russland-immer-näher-auf-die-Pelle-rücken, streut jetzt Europa, Deutschland, der Kriegskanzler Salz in die Wunde und Russland sagt ständig: Stoy, so geht das nicht!

Wenn wir eine Bedrohungslage haben, dann die, dass das aktuelle Regime den Deutschen in seinem Wehrwahn mit Wehrpflicht und einer bevorstehenden russischen Invasion droht, obwohl es, man kann es wirklich nicht oft genug sagen, keine reale Bedrohung durch Russland gibt.

In einem Interview im deutschen Propaganda-Funk faselt Pistorius davon, dass in einem „Schnuppercamp der Bundesmarine“ in Kiel für Teenager ab 16 Jahre, er gar nichts Verwerfliches daran finden kann. „Die schießen ja nicht…“, „Wir bringen ihnen ja nicht das Töten bei mit 17, sondern wir bereiten sie vor auf eine Ausbildung zum Soldaten. Das könnte schließlich Teile der Soldaten verunsichern.

Man hat das Gefühl, dass alle Politiker, statt wie Obelix in den Zaubertrank, in ein Fass Teflon-Lack gefallen sind. Anders ist es nicht zu erklären, warum die Realität so perfekt an ihnen abperlt.

Wir werden immer mehr in die Enge getrieben. Auch, wenn Vance derzeit von UK-Premier Keir Starmer fordert, er müsse die Gesetze gegen „Hassrede“ aufheben, um ein Handelsabkommen mit den USA zu erzielen, und das eine Vorankündigung auf die Verhandlungen mit der EU sein könnte, (Bedingung: Abschaffung des Digital Services Act). In den USA gibt es Tech-Giganten, wie Musk und Thiel und Konsorten, die mit Umlegen eines Schalters, den derzeit augenscheinlichen Kampf für Meinungsfreiheit und Freiheit der Bürger, im Handumdrehen ins Gegenteil verqueren können. Dann sind wir in Null Komma Nichts in der Versklavung mit einem Totalitarismus und einer Technokratie gelandet, in der sich Georg Orwells „1984“ wie eine Gute-Nacht-Geschichte für kleine Kinder anhört.

BUIDL BATTLE | The Bitcoin Builders Tournament kết thúc với 81 dự án được phê duyệt từ 219 developer đăng ký. Sự kiện trực tuyến kéo dài 3 tuần này nhằm thúc đẩy đổi mới trên Bitcoin, mang đến cơ hội tiếp cận cộng đồng builders, nhà đầu tư và accelerator. SheHacks+ 9 vừa kết thúc thành công với 98 developer đăng ký, tập trung vào thúc đẩy diverse leadership (lãnh đạo đa dạng) trong lĩnh vực công nghệ. Sự kiện do Women in Technology Society (WITS+) tổ chức, phê duyệt 47 dự án sáng tạo từ các thí sinh chủ yếu là nữ giới và nhóm non-binary (phi nhị nguyên). SheHacks+ 9 tạo môi trường hỗ trợ, chào đón người tham gia từ nhiều nền tảng và trình độ.

Các dự án tập trung giải quyết vấn đề thực tế, ứng dụng công nghệ vì lợi ích xã hội, phù hợp sứ mệnh của WITS+ trong việc thúc đẩy diverse leadership. Người tham gia nâng cao kỹ năng, tích lũy kinh nghiệm và mở rộng mạng lưới nghề nghiệp. Einen Feind, den man nicht kennt, kann man nicht besiegen. Zur Vollendung dieses Gedankens liegt es nahe, die Aufmerksamkeit von Groll und Gegenwehr auf andere zu lenken.

Wer sich die Spektakel auf den Bühnen der Erde mit einer gewissen Erkenntnisfähigkeit anschaut, wird bemerken, dass es zu den Primärthemen stets leicht zu durchschauende Drehbücher gibt und dass es sich bei den auf den Bühnen handelnden Akteuren eher um Schauspieler als um tatsächliche Kompetenzträger handelt. Es geht angeblich um Gesundheit, Friedenssicherung, Menschen- und Klimarettung und so weiter. Tatsächlich geht es aber um die Ausbeutung, Verletzung und das Töten von Menschen. Dies mit Beispielen zu unterfüttern ist nicht die Absicht dieses Beitrags, denn Beispiele gibt es genug. Stattdessen soll ein Licht auf die, die man nicht sieht, die im Verborgenen agieren, geworfen und deren Machtstrukturen offengelegt werden.

Die Leute, welche tatsächlich an der Spitze von allem stehen, lassen andere auf extra hierfür eingerichteten Bühnen agieren. So gibt es große und kleine Bühnen für Politik, Wirtschaft, Geld, Gesundheit, Nahrung, Umwelt, Glauben etc. Diese Bühnen bieten das Fernsehen, das Radio, das Internet und weitere Medien. Die Systemspitze hat Steuerungsinstrumente implementiert, mit denen die Kommentierung dessen, was auf den Bühnen passiert, durch Medien und „Volksvertreter“ sowie „Experten“ nach Vorgaben „eingeordnet“ wird. Die „öffentliche Meinung“ ist maximal manipuliert  und Abweichler werden bekämpft. Das System bestimmt, was „Wahrheit“ ist, und bestraft „Unwahrheit“.

Viele Menschen sind nicht in der Lage, eine Lüge von der Wahrheit zu unterscheiden. Hierfür sind schließlich Verstand, Intuition, Bildung, Wahrnehmungs- und Erkenntnisfähigkeit sowie Mut erforderlich. Das ist für die meisten Menschen zu viel. Immer wieder ist von denen, die den Schwindel seinerzeit frühphasig erkannten, zu lesen, dass die Coronazeit ein Intelligenztest war. Das ist aber eine Verharmlosung, denn es ging tatsächlich um Gehorsam und Unterwerfung, um die Zerstörung von Menschen durch die Vergiftung mit Spritzen und die Zerstörung von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen. Selbstverständlich ging es auch um Demoralisierung und Macht – und ums Geldverdienen. Insbesondere intelligente Menschen sind anfällig für Manipulation und Angst und somit wurden viele Intelligente als Meinungsverstärker zur Lenkung der Blöden missbraucht. Intelligente passen sich an. Intelligenz hat ausdrücklich nichts mit Klugheit, Bildung, Erkenntnisfähigkeit, Resilienz und Mut zu tun.

Wer steckt dahinter?

Diese Frage wurde bereits ausführlich in dem Buch „Das Komitee der 300“ von John Coleman beantwortet. Dort sind viele der Protagonisten, deren Intentionen und deren Organisationen mit Bezugnahme auf belastbare Quellen beschrieben. Hierbei handelt es sich primär um die Dynastien, die es über mehrere Generationen hinweg vollbracht haben, ihre Machtposition auf- und auszubauen. Diese Leute kommen nicht in den Medien vor, um nicht „unter Beschuss zu geraten“. Das sind die Leute, die über den ultimativen Einfluss darüber verfügen, was in den Medien gebracht wird. Diese Leute erzeugen Probleme, um Lösungen hierfür verkaufen zu können. Diese Leute steuern die öffentliche Meinung und die Menschen.

Diese globale Steuerung benötigt Technik und viele Mitarbeiter. Nun darf man nicht den Fehler begehen, zu glauben, dass jeder Mitarbeiter des Komitees alles weiß. Tatsächlich existiert hier eine Hierarchie, innerhalb derer die obersten Verbündeten sehr genau wissen, was sie für wen und gegen wen tun, wogegen innerhalb der mittleren und unteren Hierarchiestufen die Mitarbeiter einfach nur ihre jeweiligen Jobs innerhalb der einzelnen Regierungen, Gerichte, Institutionen und Firmen erledigen. Ähnlich dem Militär, wo der General weiß, dass es nur um die Macht und das Geld einiger Leute an der Spitze geht, die nicht kämpfen, aber der Offizier und der Soldat glauben, es gehe um „die gute Sache“. Jede Hierarchiestufe erhält ihre Belohnung für Gehorsam und ihre Bestrafung für Ungehorsam.

Die 3 primären Divisionen

Die Division Finanzen & Wirtschaft kümmert sich um Währungen, Geldsysteme, Konzerne, NGO etc. Die Kontrolle über das aktuelle Geldsystem, von dem sich jeder abhängig wähnt, ist ein Schlüsselelement zur Steuerung. Die Dynastien und die vermögenden Menschen dieser Erde investieren nicht direkt, sondern überlassen wesentliche Teile ihrer Vermögen ihren Verwaltern. Diese Vermögensverwalter übernehmen Geschäftsanteile an Firmen in Größenordnungen, welche ihnen Gestaltungsmacht einräumt, sodass sie Einfluss auf die Besetzung von dortigen Schlüsselpositionen ausüben können, welche wiederum formell die Strategie des jeweiligen Unternehmens bestimmen. Die Dynastien erschaffen und kontrollieren NGOs sowie weitere Organisationsgebilde nach Erfordernis.

Die Division Politik & Recht hat in erster Linie die Aufgabe, dafür zu sorgen, dass die Menschen glauben, sie leben in einer Demokratie und könnten durch Wahlen etwas bewirken. Sie sollen glauben, dass es Volkvertreter gibt, welche die Interessen der Bevölkerung vertreten. Dem angeblich gleichgestellt ist das Rechtssystem – zumindest in der Darstellung des Systems, dessen integraler Bestandteil die Medien sind. Tatsächlich wurde es in den letzten Jahren überdeutlich, dass die gewöhnlichen Menschen von diesen Institutionen eben nicht vertreten werden.

Die Division „Menschlichkeit“, hiermit sind sogenannte „Vertreter der Menschlichkeit“ wie Kirchen, Gewerkschaften und Verbände etc. gemeint, soll suggerieren, dass der Mensch „einen starken Beschützer“ an seiner Seite hat. Dies führt dazu, dass die Menschen sich an die Regeln des Systems halten. Sie demonstrieren und werden dort massiv misshandelt, wie die vielen Corona-Demos gezeigt haben. Oder es werden „Gegendemonstrationen“ inszeniert, um der Öffentlichkeit vorzugaukeln, dass „die Mehrheit“ eine ganz andere Meinung als die Demonstranten hat. 

In allen drei Divisionen gibt es wieder eigene Macht- und Korruptionsstrukturen und jede Struktur befasst sich in erster Linie mit der Ausbeutung der Vielen zum eigenen Wohle. Wer sich als gewöhnlicher Bürger auf diese Institutionen verlässt, wird keine positiven Veränderungen seiner gegenwärtigen Situation erfahren.

Using STARK-Based NTC and NIWA for Efficient Post-Quantum Bitcoin Signatures

Bitcoin Core developer Ethan Heilman emphasized the need for Bitcoin to adopt post-quantum (PQ) signatures to defend against quantum computing threats. He proposed using STARKs to implement Non-Interactive Transaction Compression (NTC) and Non-Interactive Witness Aggregation (NIWA) to make PQ signatures more efficient. SwiftSync Cuts Initial Block Download Time by 80%

Sebastian Falbesoner published a sample implementation and performance results of SwiftSync, a new method initially proposed by Ruben Somsen that reduces Initial Block Download (IBD) time from 41 hours to just 8—over 5x faster. More details in this post.

SwiftSync speeds up UTXO database construction using a “hints file” from synced nodes. This file lists which outputs will still be unspent at a specific block. That block is called the terminal SwiftSync block. To sync, a user downloads the hints file and processes blocks up to the terminal block. They only store outputs if the file says those outputs will remain unspent. This avoids the need to add and later remove many entries during initial block download (IBD), saving time and resources.

Adds Fee Rate Forecaster Manager for Better Bitcoin Fee Estimation

A PR by developer Ismaelsadeeq introduces a new Fee Rate Forecaster Manager to upgrade Bitcoin Core’s fee estimation logic. The change adds a FeeRateForecasterManager class that can register multiple fee estimators for greater flexibility.

The previous CBlockPolicyEstimator, which relied solely on confirmed transactions, is now one of several forecast sources. A new MemPoolForecaster can analyze unconfirmed mempool transactions, enabling quicker and more accurate response to changing fee conditions.

secp256k1lab: Python Library Launched for Prototyping

Bitcoin developer Jonas Nick released an initial version of secp256k1lab (GitHub repo), a Python-based insecure implementation of the secp256k1 elliptic curve and related cryptographic schemes. Designed for prototyping, experimentation, and educational use, it supports low-level arithmetic, BIP-340-compliant Schnorr signatures and key generation, and ECDH key exchange.

This library serves as a reference implementation for ChillDKG, an ongoing BIP proposal, aiming to avoid redundant work and provide a unified secp256k1 interface for multiple BIPs. It's currently integrated as a subproject in the ChillDKG repo, though whether it should be included in the official BIP libraries is still under discussion.

Decentralized Mempool and Package Relay Are Key to Bitcoin’s Censorship Resistance

Bitcoin Core contributor and maintainer Gloria Zhao emphasized the importance of a decentralized mempool structure for censorship resistance in a recent interview with Bitcoin Magazine. Since each node runs its own mempool, no centralized authority can dictate which transactions get relayed or blocked.

To further improve efficiency and censorship resistance, she is working to implement Package Relay. This enables broadcasting interdependent transactions as a bundle, improving efficiency in complex use cases like opening Lightning channels, anchor outputs, and Replace-by-Fee (RBF). It also enhances censorship resistance: if a miner might otherwise ignore or censor a single transaction, bundling it with others raises the cost of refusal, reducing selective censorship risks.
